Come here if you want to spend 32$ on garbage frozen meat with terrible service. Not sure if these people even eat kbbq themselves by how they try to help you cook. While we were waiting for our grill to get nice and hot the server came by without asking and dumped all our meat onto the grill and we watched as everything was being boiled vs grilled.

The meats were frozen. Very poor quality foods. The floor was filthy and slippery. Everything tasted old and like it was about to go bad. I will not return.

This is my go-to Korean restaurant in the Tacoma area, because the food is delicious! I've been going for over 15 years. I usually get stews (yukgaejung, gamjatang, soondubu) and already-grilled meat (LA galbi, bulgogi). I've gotten the set menu several times too and that's a feast! I've sat in the main BBQ area a few times as well, and had a good time. They swapped out the grill when it got burnt, were attentive enough. The side dishes are always good, and I think they revamped them when I went last time, possibly for the new year.

I ate at other Korean restaurants on South Tacoma Way in the past year to see if there are better places. I'm open to change my habits! This place is still my favorite. The food is tastier and the price to me is fair. LA galbi at other places were smaller and not as tender as Gangnam.

The service is fine - I've never been treated rudely, and they are friendly to me and whoever I'm with. I go every 1-2 months and I think the waitstaff recognizes me. If you need something, yes you can flag them down. It's not a big deal for me to do so.

I always tip! If you think it's optional at a sit down restaurant, you are mistaken. When you go out to eat that's part of the cost in the US - plan for it.

The workers are somewhat nice. Foods are okay. My credit card info was stolen right after we ate there. It was used to buy a flight ticket to South Korea.

Spend your money else where with better customer service and food! Went here on a slow Sunday afternoon and had to beg for constant refills. They start off strong with being welcoming and dishing out all the sides immediately but once you get your meats-- good luck seeing them again at your table. They will only grace your table after having to ask multiple times. Also make sure you are being billed correctly or they will just charge the highest amount they can by you.

Before I decided to leave this review I visited this location 4 times and each time was disappointing. The service is so horrible. They start off strong when you first get there then it’s like they almost purposely ignore you. You have to constantly remind them for refills, more meat or sides. Usually only one of the 2-3 is helpful and it’s like they have an attitude when you ask for more items. The service here needs a lot of improvement. The food is okay. Sides are a little too sweet or bland. The soda machine needs to be checked for mold. The restaurant itself is old and outdated even though they just opened. And the prices do not match the quality they provided. Do yourself a favor and do not come here.

Horrible service. Would never coming back again. Food is disgustingly with thins pieces. Service is also disrespectful without helping the customer. Beside of that, they also requested for 18% of tip instead of 15%. I told them to call the police if what they want and they start acting like childs. This place should close asap.

Never going here again. The staff in the beginning were super nice until 30mins into eating , they kept walking by the table trying to rush my guest and I out by turning off the stove light, and grill. SMH!

I enjoyed coming here for the food many times. But the service does not make it worth it anymore. Came here one evening with a friend, my sister, and our two toddlers. I don't know who was serving my table as three different staff members came out during different times. I work in customer service so I'm always understanding and patient to servers, but all three servers who spoke with us were so rude and unfriendly and I didn't understand why. They all acted like it was a burden whenever we wanted extra sides. At one point, one lady glared at me and held her eye contact to make sure I noticed her expression just because I asked for more kimchi. We always had to flag down every server down to get anything, and they would always leave after dropping things off before we even got the chance to say if we needed anything else. As someone who works in customer service, I'm very understanding towards others workers and don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but this experience was has ruined it for me especially because our toddlers were with us. I never want to come back here again. If you're coming here for the food, it's not worth it based on the service.

Poor service for the group table. It seems like the server cares more about smaller tables because the tip for the group table is already included. Not eating here again.
