I first tried this place 17 years ago, I was a 16 living in the US for the first time, coming from Mexico.
I found this place all on my own while exploring the town that summer and it was one of the first places I ate alone.
Til this day my family and I talk about it- I ended up taking my aunt and uncle when I was 16, then when aunt passed away in 2016, I took my sister, mom and dad.
Because of their spring rolls I learned how to make my own and i’ve yet to try a better pad see ew- those two dishes are must haves.
I’m happy they’re still around! I’d go to WA just for their food.
Sure, the food is still good. But the flies will buzz around your head and land on your great food.
We went there at the 11 am opening time. The front doors were wide open, which is nice, but the flies come right in. The floor was covered with food from the previous day. The tables had food particles from the evening prior. And, these were stacks of dirty dishes from the previous day. No wonder why the flies were so happy. Amid all this unsanitary environment was a Tacoma-Pierce County Inspection report posted that said GREAT. Yes, great for the flies and food poisoning.
We have gone to Long Beach for many years and remember the time when the food was even better and you were greeted with a carafe of cold water with lime slices floating on top. Now, you are lucky to get a glass of water before the food arrives. The lady never washed her hands and was more concerned with watering the plants than attempting to clean the area.
So, the food does look good. But are you willing to take that gamble? I have always found that if the dining area and rest rooms are clean, the kitchen is usually also clean. If that is the case, the kitchen must be a botulism heaven.
Not recommended. One star.

I have been waiting a week to try since it was closed for the daughter wedding. I finally was able to try today. I ordered the lamb curry plate. I was so disappointed the lamb was so hard I couldn’t even chew it. It was a total let down. I ate a bites and threw away 24 dollars down the drain. I wish she would have recommended something else instead. I feel they knew it wasn’t worth it. I would gave appreciate honesty. She was sitting down eating I don’t think she wanted my business

Went for lunch in company uniforms and tools hanging out of pockets so it was obvious we didn’t have all day. They forgot about us 3 times. Asked if we were ready to order ten minutes after sitting down, but forgot to ever greet us or provide menus. The Pad Thai was about the worst I’ve ever had, came with watered down bland yellow “peanut sauce”. My wontons literally had zero filling and came out looking like burnt tortilla chips and tasting gross. I asked for a real peanut sauce that they supposedly had and a to-go box and neither ever showed up so since I was now done eating I canceled the sauce(which it turns out wa forgotten about anyway) and had to ask for the box again. Then we waited over 20 minutes for our bill, making eye contact several times while the woman chatted with a friend. *Made us do our own math to split our bill*

Reliable, always delicious!
I walked in and was told to sit anywhere, the spring rolls I got were terrible, too much mint and the meat tasted off. The pho was absolutely horrible, barely flavor, I had to basically douse it in Chilli garlic sauce to get any sort of flavor.
The portions were ridiculously small too for the price you pay, I can get a bigger and better tasting bowl of Pho anywhere else for cheaper.
The waitress was pretty bad, only asked me how it was once and then never spoke to me to ask anything again.
Will never come back.

Server was not attentive to patrons. The food is good but this server is notoriously bad. I’ve gone to this restaurant for many years and she has always been the same you order your food. You get your water or drink, but you will not ever get a refill and she’ll just sit behind the desk on her phone the whole time.
I ordered online pickup which I have before and enjoyed it but this time it was not good. I got the Malaysian noodles which I’ve had multiple times but this time they were flavorless and extremely bland. Maybe it was my responsibility to add my level of spice but there were no directions to do so.

Went for lunch, they welcomed us and they never came to the table to bring water, not even to take an order. After waiting for 20 minutes we decided to leave.
