They have awesome vegan options! Also, the hostess is very welcoming has has positive vibes. They currently only have takeout but I can't wait for the inside to open. We are regulars here at this resturant.
First Time going to Puerto Rican šµš·International cuisine , food was delicious and taste amazing ,staff was helpful and friendly, will definitely be coming back again.
They need to reopen for inside dining! The pandemic is way behind us. Seems like they are still holding on keeping the inside shut down. Why!????

Finally stopped to get dinner from here after driving by for the last three years. We did not know it was to go ordering only when we walked in, but that was not an issue. Everyone inside was so friendly and polite, and the aroma coming from the kitchen instantly took me back to staying at my grandparents house in Long Island. We ordered four meals, Chuletas mofongo, steak with onions mofongo, arroz con pollo, chicarron de Pollo with arroz con gandules, and stuffed plantains with chicken. All four meals were amazing and the price for the portions you get is worth every penny. We waited around 35 minutes for our order which was not bad at all due to the time it takes to make the dishes we ordered. The menu does inform you that certain dishes take a bit longer to prepare. Overall an amazing experience for puerto rican food that is hard to find in this area. Forgot to mention they have Vegan options as well.

We love coming here. Everyone is always nice while we're taking our order. Although the sign has been there for a while, I do hope that they plan to open their indoor seating again soon, it was been closed since the pandemic.
I ordered the badeja paisa for the first time and I really enjoyed it. This meal was big enough to feed 2 people.
I bring family here when they come in from out of town. It's the only Puerto Rican spot you'll find in the area. The food is really good. During the holidays, we like to order at least a dozen pastelles and a bottle or 2 of coquito.
If you place a big order, expect a wait. For 10 of us to order on the spot, it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food, which was fine considering we had a group. Since there is no indoor seating, we usually go find a park nearby to go and eat what we ordered. They give very decent reusable to-go trays, which keep the food warm for a while.
If you're looking for Puerto Rican food, this is a good spot.
Parking: There are very few parking stalls, but I've yet to be there when all the stalls were taken.

Ask for your receipt so you know what are they charging you. Not worth the hype of paying $25 plus tax for this. Yuca fries cost additional $5 and they only serve you three slim pieces. This is a To-Go only restaurant, so donāt get fooled by their dining room and bar pictures. Their vegan menu is not really vegan and the regular menu needs improvement, as it can be confusing and misleading regarding prices and offerings. Typical. My wife and I are full supporters of small businesses but not of greed and cultural appropriation. Their staff should speak spanish to better communicate with their clientele. Customer service has lots of room for improvement.

The best authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, you will find traditional flavors that will transport you directly to la isla del encanto , great appetizers, delicious desserts, cookies like CAMEO , BIMBO and candies that will make you remember your childhood and leave you wanting more. The cleanliness of the establishment is top-notch and the presentation of our dishes is worthy of a magazine.
If you're looking for a unique culinary experience that will make you feel at home, don't hesitate to visit Osj international restaurant.
Vegetarian options: Also they are offer vegetarian meals that you will be able to try. from ropa vieja to pull pork or steak sausages , chicken and more with the puertorrican flavor that will melt in your mouth.

Being 100% vegan it is difficult to find restaurants that have more than 1 option on their menu that carter to vegans. To my surprise they have an entire vegan menu. Upon entry we were warmly greeted. I don't recall her name, but she was absolutely amazing. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, kind, upbeat, personable, as well as professional. She went above and beyond and was extremely patient answering all of my questions. I cannot rave about her enough. At this time the restaurant is current going through renovation so you they're only offering take out. Getting home the food was still hot and labeled as my partner is not vegan. The portions are extremely generous. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. Nothing lacked of flavor. I have nothing but great things to say about this establishment. The service was more than exceptional, the owner is lively and sweet, and the food was everything I was hoping for. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Hello everyone,
I'm very excited to write to you about today's review. I will be speaking about the Puerto Rican restaurant called OSJ, (Old San Juan) in Lakewood. I can say this was the best tasting Latin food that I've had since moving to Washington state 10 years ago. I will be providing everyone many pictures so you can also enjoy a part of this great restaurant. We are Cubans from Miami with many Puerto Rican friends and we All loved the food! Not only was the food delicious but they give you so much that you could literally eat it for two days. If you're in the mood for great Latin food you would be absolutely crazy not to try this restaurant! It is take out only for now, (No dine in eating) so order your food and take it home. My personal advice: try the Ropa Vieja dinner with yellow rice.
Muchas Gracias por la comida mas Rica mis amigos.
