Sun dae is good! I ordered two side dishes.1. $19 soon dae - reasonable price with general taste of korean pork sausage. It comes with two tiny sauces: salt and shrimp sauce2. $6.99 pork su youk - pricy but very delicious. Well there are only 6 pieces of pork, however the taste is really good. Soft and not salty at all. If I visit this place again, probably order this one again.

this is my favorite Korean spot in Lakewood,WA recommended by one of our ex-o... the GAMJATANG is bomb as heck and Im about to tear into some spicy pork in a second. Iʻd take a foto of this meal but I ordered it to go.

A co-worker and I decided to try this place out a little while ago for lunch and were very disappointed. The owner seemed more concerned with her regular customers and was unfriendly with the rest of us. She grabbed the menus before taking our orders, and we had to ask for them back so we could (try to) pronounce the dishes correctly. We only got three side dishes (most Korean places we frequent provide more), and when I opened the box on the table to get silverware, there were several pieces that were obviously not clean. In addition, one of our water glasses had some sort of foodstuff crusted on the rim. The food itself was delicious, and was the only positive thing about this place/what saved it from a one star review. I would not recommend this place based on the lack of cleanliness (if they can't clean their dishes properly, it makes we wonder how they keep their kitchen) and the bad service.

Noooo, my favorite Korean restaurant is closed! They are reopening as a Japanese/ramen restaurant. Such a bummer.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Tacoma. I have been there almost everytime I visit Tacoma for grocery shopping. Very good food and service. Dwaejigukbab is one of my favorites. Side dishes are great and enough for main dish. Im so glad I could eat some great food here. Best place ever!!!

Legit legit Korean oxbone and gamjatang soup! Closest thing to what I remember it tasting like when I visited South Korea. You know a place is legit if you see a lot of Koreans eating there. And I saw a bunch of Korean ahjummas eating there for lunch. I thought my favorite food was soondubu. But after eating the gamjatang here, it will be my new favorite and soup to get during the Winter. I will be a regular here! Highly recommend! I also tried my friend's manduguk dumpling soup and it was really good. Next time I am eyeing their bibimbap. It looks like it's made in a sizzling hot stone plate, not a typical hot stone bowl.

Best cold noodles, period. I'm obsessed with cold noodles and it doesn't matter what time of the year it is. I've had it now at every korean restaurant on south Tacoma way, but this place, hands down the best I've had! I'm always torn between the spicy cold noodle or the regular but here, they have a combo! Best of both worlds! SO good!

One of the best traditional Korean restaurants in Tacoma. Slowly becoming a favorite. My friend brought me here because she said it really reminds her of the restaurants in Korea and the tastes being so much more authentic. She wasn't wrong, this place is addictive. This is a small restaurant so too many people can't be seated. My first experience I had their Dol pan Bibimbap. It arrived on a sizzling plate instead of bowl and WOW, I've never had one quite that big or delicious! It was something I would recommend and order again, visually and taste wise so satisfying! The quality, portions and pricing can't be beat. They feature traditional soups, soft tofu soups (kimchi, fermented soybean), japchae, stews, pancake dishes and more. The last time I was in we had lunch on a summer day and shared a plate of their soondae (blood sausage, super good!) and spicy cold mixed buckwheat noodles (even better, comes with refreshing watermelon slice!). The perfect combo during the warmer months and even the cooler days approaching. Whenever I'm in Tacoma this is one of my go-tos! Want to try other amazing Korean dishes besides Korean BBQ? Try it for yourself!

This is the only place I order Sun Dae from. Creamy goodness. This is also my go to place for Sul Lung Tang. Service is always great.

Must go place if you are interested in traditional Korean soups and dishes. We ordered several items from here so far and nothing really disappointed us.

Amazing flavors! We had the bulgogi, the oxbone ramen, and a side of traditional Korean sausage. The ramen broth was incredibly creamy and delicious. They had good quality kimchi and sprouts. The price was reasonable, especially for the quality.

The food is great! The whole restaurant gives you a authentic feeling of Korea. The origanal food came from Busan. The whole restaurant is amazing

Ive tried the hot bowl soups and the cold noodle dish and i wouldnt recommend the hot soup unless you really want it because its very bland so you have to add lots of shrimp or spicy paste and eat it with side dishes. But on the other hand the mul naengmyeon or the cold noodle IS SOOOO GOOD the best ive tried. It is a bit on the pricey side but the broth is so good and titally worth it in a hot summer weather like this. The lady isnt the nicest lady but its a decent restaurant
