Came in late on a Sunday night for a take out order and received phenomenal service. We were probably close to closing time, but they ushered us in without any hesitation, took our large order and were so kind as to bring us a few snacks while we waited for our order. We were happy to wait as we hadn’t called ahead, but so appreciated the welcoming gesture. Great bar seating if you wanted to watch a game while dining in with some sake. We got multiple sushi rolls, gyoza, and the order came with a few miso soups and edamame, all of which was heartily enjoyed on our return home. Loved the sushi boat to-go tray which made it so easy to share. California roll did not skimp on the crab. Good food and super nice staff - so glad we stopped in!

Ate at Sushi Ya last night with friends and family. There were 4 of us so we took one of the 2 tables available. The place is small but the food was great. The staff were very nice. We ordered 10 sushi rolls (spider, shrimp tempura, salmon, yellow tail, Boston, Philadelphia, tuna, salmon avocado, sushi Ya roll, and last one I forgot).

Edited: this place’s food is good but after coming back a couple of times I’ve seen the owners treat the restaurant host rude (I’ve seen this with multiple hosts). They snap at them and it seems like a hostile work environment, making being a customer there a bit uncomfortable. Mistakes happen so try to give nice feedback and be more kind.
OG review: This place is so good! They give out complementary edamame, miso soup, and an orange at the end! The sushi is presented really well with delicious additions like sauces and tobiko. The fish is really fresh and tastes delicious. Everyone is also very nice there and it feels very comfy. I think it’s my favorite sushi spot around! Give this place a try if you haven’t yet.

The food was good, but way overpriced for the size of the rolls. The restaurant only has a bar, no tables, staff are mostly friendly, and the environment was clean.
2 for $32 specialty rolls! what a steal! got the rainbow and alaskan rolls. so fresh and quick. great service, super nice staff. gyoza was also super fresh and tasty, yummy dipping sauce with it
