This is the cutest little diner. I'm Loving the 50's theme. Flo, the GM, is super kind. The crew is swift and proficient with their orders. This place is very busy so there is a little bit of a wait but honestly it never felt like it. The music and decor keeps you busy as you drift into another decade. I will say they make the BEST shakes I've ever had.

There are no rooms, as it is not a hotel. The burgers are absolutely amazing and my husband says the milkshakes are to die for. The only issue we had was, they mixed up our burgers. Mine had jalapeños, which my husband can not eat, so that was an issue. Unfortunately, the young lady who served us, did not seem too concerned with her mistake. Fortunately, no harm was done, just some major acid reflux for a few hours.

I’d been here a couple years prior and my experience was ok, but that was highlighted by a less than ok life situation. This time, the place felt lighter, bustling, and outright cheerful. The staff are all running left and right to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of. I was so happy to be back. Even the food was a step up. The beef dip, chicken fried steak b eggs, fish n chips were all solid good. I’ve had bad gravy before, tough steaks, etc these were bullseye for a good dinner to start out family vacation off. And the shakes are so satisfying. Good flavor, consistency and they have them ready fast. Way to go Flo!

The food here is overpriced, and unfortunately, the quality just doesn’t match the cost. I ordered the Cadillac burger, but the cheese wasn’t melted, the canned mushrooms were cold, and the meat—though flame-broiled—was completely flavorless. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude, despite the fact that our group filled the restaurant and brought in a lot of business. Honestly, save your money—you're better off catching your own fish and cooking

Last summer my boyfriend, kids and myself were stranded with a busted belt on the boyfriends harley in the parking lot of the squirrel and the boyfriends mom was able to get us a room at the last minute at the 59er. the squirrel provided us with a free meal and water for the dog. the people at both places were amazing and I will forever be grateful for the hospitality that was shown. the milkshakes were top notch in the hot sun. thanks you toxeveryone who helped us out!! xoxo
