Wasn't the bakery we were looking for? The cases were a little bare at 0800 on a weekend. Building is older and appeared to need some attention
We had Black Forest cake and marzipan. The cakes were very tasty. Our sever was awesome. The BF cake slice was a little small but was the last slice remaining. She took $1 off the price. Milk wasn’t on the menu but she gave my husband a small cup of milk. If I could give 10 stars for service, I would.
We had a great time at the bakery, would 100% recommend to anyone travelling through, Scarlett was very helpful with our questions about the breads and pretzels, and provided some very friendly and amazing service definitely earned a good tip, the go to European bakery in leavenworth!!!!
We were on a trip and ı was so happy to discover a Europe art a bakery , service was such a disappointed experience first they put three bakery items in a one small paper bag ,almond Choclate glazed cake and a pastry with whipped cream and rhubarb small cake in little paper bag container, ı asked one more paper bag the lady was unhappy, ı am a self baker and do rhubarb tarts this was the worst what ı eat, cornet with whipped cream is tasteless with filled buttery cream no aroma especially the lady who did checkout unfriendly no mimik on face was enough for my experience in this bakery.
Giving Bavarian Bakery 4 stars only because I was disappointed with the lack of options however, I did go later in the day which is probably why. The owner was very friendly and offered me some samples of some bread he made, overall I would recommend this place over the Danish Bakery tourist trap in downtown Leavenworth. I dont remember the name of the pastry I had but it was a sweet bread with an apricot jelly topping, it was delicious.
Ok if you want authentic, this is the place. I was very impressed. The food is amazing. Next time we come back, we’re going to buy some bread. The baker is amazing. Even helped me practice my German, which I speak none, but I loved it. This place is the best.
We contacted the bakery a little over a week before visiting town. We contacted them via Facebook and they were very quick to reply. We were in town for a couple of days for a milestone birthday, and wanted them to make us a cake. We arranged for the cake to be made and picked up over a week in advance. The cake was to be around $55 which we were more than willing to pay. We asked if they needed a down payment and they said no. On the day of the scheduled pickup we had total radio silence. We reached out several times and we're unable to make contact. We had a backup plan, so it was no disaster but after hours of trying to make contact, we made the decision not to drive to town for it and wrote it off. We were mostly disappointed in the lack of follow through, and won't be relying on them in the future.

We have family from Germany, and bought a two super thin slices of black forest cake for them. They were disappointed in the cake. The coloring of the chocolate was to light and very dry, no layers of cherries throughout. We got a pretzel and were asked if we wanted cream cheese or mustard with it. We asked for mustard, thinking it was included. We were charged for it and weren't told it was an extra cost. We picked up a few other items and those were very disapponting as well. The quality, taste and experience did not match the bakeries in Germany. Unfortunately we will not go back again. We wish them well and hopefully others will have a more positive experience. You will pay extra for the Leavenworth experience, good or not.

Overrated and overpriced. The server's attitudine was not welcoming and most products didn't have a label, or a misplaced label, so I ordered in "blank". Wasn't asked if we wanted to dine in or takeaway and all the pastries were bagged and the filling is now just all over that bags, but not on the pastry that I would eat. :(
Dust piled up on the shelves and overall an unorganized bakery. Really not inviting.

Wunderbar! Absolutely delicious german bakery. Recommend 100%
As a native Bavarian I have to say this place is absolutely fantastic!
Went there this morning with my wife and three kids. Breads, pastries, cakes everything is so authentic! Exceptional quality and so tasty! The pretzels are even better than back home in Bavaria, I must admit!
And even the interior is absolutely authentic (not phony like some of the other places in town). It looks like in a real Bavarian village.

We needed to pick up a breakfast on our way back home and this place did not disappoint. I got a bear claw filled with a poppyseed filling and my husband got a cinnamon roll. Both tasted amazing and were just what we wanted—lots of flavor, perfect texture and not overly sweet. And we also took home a loaf of freshly made rye that we can’t wait to dog into once we get home.
We will make it a point to stop here anytime we are in Leavenworth.

Breads & pastries are pretty good… but the coffee is quite bad so get coffee elsewhere.
