I had the sea food chowder at the little food truck they have set up. It was good. Never had a sea food chowder with shrimp in it, but it was interesting, otherwise it's what you would expect in a claim chowder. It's a beautiful place to stop, much better than most of the gas stations as long as you don't need gas. The minu was a little limited with fries, fries with sea food chowder and I think there was some sort of oyster sandwich. But that's just the food truck, I think they have more inside possibly including ice cream, but have not tried it myself. I'll definitely stop again next time I drive through there and check out the other food options if they are open.
Always a great day at Hama Hama! For those that can't make it on the weekends, they have a U-Shuck deal where you can pick a table and shuck them yourselves at your choice of picnic table, including lending you all the tools to do it! 10/10 recommend!
Great oysters, farming, dining and tourism Hotspot.
Really fun spot with amazing food and great beer selection. I will be back often.
An oyster lovers dream! Raw oysters and other food available even if the Saloon isn’t open. Don’t worry, shucking yourself is not actually that hard!
We had fish chowder at Hama Hama. Picked up a dozen oysters to go. Decent prices. Packed with ice.
Came here on a whim after flying in and the trip from the airport to Hama Hama was worth it. Since we didn't make hut reservations, we waited 45 minutes for a table. During our wait we, we ordered soup from their food truck that offered other oyster items, fried oysters, freshly shucked, fried oyster sandwiches and chowder. Their chowder was A-1! Chunky, meaty, thick and creamy with a very slight brine taste from the oysters made me dance in my seat. When our table, no hut :( was ready, we ordered 6 of catch of the day and the special grilled pimento cheese oysters. Oh so very good. The scenery and food made it so worth the drive.
Great store!! ... Got 3 dozen oysters to go, they offer ice to pack home. Love the shirts and even Eating Place outside .. Oyster everything ... from shuck your own to Fired Oyster sandwich!!
The staff is not friendly to non american looking guests. Her facial expression changed in an instant when it came to us.
Delicious smoked salmon from the shop and great seafood chowder from the food truck. Will definitely go back

Friendly staff and yummy seafood!
So glad we stopped here! Super cool place right on the water. We stopped by on a Monday afternoon and were able to get some u-shuck oysters, smoked salmon, and awesome dishes from the food truck! Loved their version of tomato soup, spicy and delicious, and everything with seafood was so good. They are right off the 101 so such an easy stop with tons of parking.
Fun to stop and take s break here
Always fun to pop by this awesome oyster farm, even if we don’t get anything, it never fails to be a cool old school family-feel experience. Lots of seafood, accessories, cookbooks and more to check out here.
Super-helpful assistants at the counter. Grab a table at the oyster saloon outside if you’re hungry to really get a feel for the place and the amazing oysters coming out of here.
On weekdays when their restaurant is closed, you can still buy a bucket of oysters to shuck out at the tables, and a beer. It's a bit expensive ($24/dozen as of Jul 2025), but they come with lemon, mignonette, and hot sauce, are top quality, and you can't beat the view!
