Absolutely the best food I've ever had!! Melissa is so kind and wonderful. The clam chowder is INCREDIBLE, even better than mine! Coconut shrimp to die for! Crispy hot delicious fries! Definitely stop by and show some love

Food was overpriced and overcooked. The chowder was extremely salty. The clam strips chewy. The place is so small there is no place to sit inside if more than 3 customers and it is usually too windy to sit outside.

This was my first time here, we drove from warrenton oregon to get the clam chowder. It was easy to order online. I got the quart of clam chowder and it was so thick, creamy, well seasoned with tender clams. So delicious; perfect dinner for 2 with left overs.
Easy to order online and pick up inside to go or curb side she will bring it out to you, or door dash.
The owner/chef was super nice.
I appreciate her service with a smile while being treated with patience and kindness. Even walked me to the door.
I will be back for more chowder and try something else from the menu.
I will recommend this hidden gem it's well worth finding, it's just nestled in next to the museum.

Great fresh food. The cod was crisp on the outside and not overcooked. The chowder was delicious. The fries super crisp. We made a point to stop on my sister's recommendation. It did not disappoint. The wait time was worth fresh food. Marie you need to stop by! Outside seating if you travel with a dog.

Worst clam chowder I’ve ever had…gritty with too much flour is all I can guess. Gross. Ordered via DoorDash and was disappointed with the selections…such as…Soda 1, Soda 2 and Soda 3. That should have been my first red flag. Only given a spoon…so I tried my best to use that on my salad!!!

Excellent fish and chips and thick chowder! Halibut was fried perfectly, not overcooked. Not as greasy as most fish and chips we've had. They saw my wife and I intended to share, so they split the order onto two plates. Would he ghly recommend for lunch on at Long Beach.

Shrimp cocktail had way too much cocktail sauce and made the dish uneatable as all you could taste was horseradish. Inside of the store is cluttered.

Came for the crab roll and was not disappointed. I will be back for the crab roll again. Not much seating but the weather was beautiful and there was plenty to walk around and see as you eat. Theres also plenty of benches outside.

Staying in town this week for work and came in for some chowder. Instantly greeted and taken care of by Melissa. I had ordered the clam chowder and a side of fries and honestly speaking, the chowder was to DIE FOR. I've had clam chowder all up and down the coast of CA, even up to Seattle. This chowder instantly was a top 5 for me. I will most definitely be stopping by Captain Bob's EVERY time I'm in Long Beach. 11/10 would recommend. (Also, I have a picture but it is blurry-- and honestly a picture wouldn't do it justice.) Thank you Captain Bob's, until next time!!!
