stay away. Water glass had lipstick on it. gal could barely understand English. and service took forever.Had intestinal distress about a quarter thru meal could not finish it. watered down Chinese mustard and never did get a replacement water. avoid this place at all costs. It is horrible..
Ordered pork fried rice. Got rice and pork only. No green onions, peas, carrots, eggs, etc. I was very disappointed. A plate of rice for
$ 11.75 - I don’t think so.
Very Unhappy. The new owners have taken away a lunch menu. Dinner menu only all day. The portions were smaller so I ate less & paid less. I will not go there at lunch again. I usually went to lunch there about 3 to 4 times a week.

Chen's Restaurant in Long Beach offers good and affordable food, making it a great spot for takeout with a view of the waves. The atmosphere remains peaceful, and many customers enjoy the BBQ pork, egg rolls, and hot and sour soup. The orange chicken, egg drop soup, and chicken fried rice have received praise. Diners enjoy the pan-fried noodles and pork fried rice, calling it Sooooo good, and mention other delicious items off their menu. The waitresses are always super friendly. Service was really good, and the chicken subgum chow mein was really delicious. The restaurant is open later than most places, which is nice. However, some customers have experienced uncomfortable behavior from servers, describing them as unhappiest and serving with despise. While the food is okay, it's not always the best. There are concerns about the deep fried tasting old, possibly needing to change their oil. Some diners have experienced long wait times for their food, even when the restaurant was not busy, and there have been mix-ups with orders. The sweet and sour sauce may still lack flavor. Despite some negative feedback, many still recommend Chen's as a dinner stop, especially for those visiting Long Beach. The bathrooms are clean.
