This is not real Chinese food. It was very small portions and overpriced.

We were charged $3 for a small container of extra red sauce, the hostess was rude and our food was tasteless and made my husband sick.

My wife and I go to Long Beach every October for a 3 day vacation, and after several years of driving by we decided to stop for dinner at Chen's. I was somewhat skeptical of Chinese food in a sea side tourist town but I was pleasantly surprised, the BBQ pork was tender and delicious, the egg rolls were huge and stuffed with pork and cabbage, the hot and sour soup was excellent, we also enjoyed the pork fried rice, the sweet and sour pork, the kung Pao chicken, and my wife's mai tai was extremely stiff and flavorful. Highly recommended dinner stop.

This place is incredibly dishonest. I paid for my meal with a card and intentionally didn’t leave a tip on the receipt because the service and food were terrible. The next morning, I noticed they charged an extra $5 for a tip without my authorization. I won’t be returning, and this place seriously needs to be shut down.

They give me the whole order wrong, the food doesn't have any flavor and there is no meat. I'll never go again and for that price I recommend you not to go either.

The worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I couldn’t even eat some of it.

The good: Chen's is open consistently, offering more available hours than most of the other peninsula restaurants. The waitress is experienced, friendly and checks on tables often.

The not great: The food is bland, and the meat in mixed dishes tends towards very small portions. Foods labeled as spicy equals American spicy (read - not).

The hot and sour soup is pretty good. Sometimes the crab puffs have sufficient filling, sometimes they are cooked too long and the filling has melted out. They use a lot of sugar and flour.

Nice traditional Chinese food with great decor inside. We had a bit of everything from a few combination plates. My favorite was the pork fried rice and sweet & sour chicken. Egg flower soup was also very good.

Kid-friendliness: Had a loud toddler energetic toddler with us and the waitress provided him with a coloring book and crayons. Also gave us a small drink holder w straw for the water and an extra plate when dinner arrived at our table.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs coming from the parking lot. All flat ground with handicap parking next to the entrance.

Chen's, Chen's, Chen's. Is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Fresh! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The orange chicken was my favorite, but the chow mein was also delicious. Everything was seasoned and prepared well.

Its redeeming quality was that it was open when other options were closed. Not very good and very Americanized.

We listened to traditional Chinese music on a broken/crackling speaker the entire meal. The whole restaurant had to have heard it but no one turned it off.

The accuracy of the order was wrong locations in Long Beach Washington and had to drive all the way to Ocean Park and back again to get one item that they didn't put into the box we're not comp anything on the ticket at all for the gas that I wasted having to come back again at my own expense If you go to this restaurant insist that they check everything before they put it in the box and send you out the door. Not the best customer service I've had here and I've been a local here since 2019.
