Good but older worker had a horrible attitude.
Years later, we still come here. My husband loves the devil dogs and peanut butter dogs. I'm not a fan of the bakery sweet stuff but they do make some great breads. Workers are generally nice and friendly. Bathroom isn't the most upbeat.

I was excited to come back for the bacon maple bar. But this time when I was looking for it in the case, I asked the guy behind the counter and he said they could make me one. He literally took the maple bar out and sprinkled bacon bits on it which all rolled off in the box. Super disappointed, I went out of my way to come back but probably will not again.

Customer Service goes a long way! My friend is hosting us here in town and wanted to grab some bagels for us from here as this has usually been her go to place. Along with the bagels and other food, there were also some souvenirs. She grabbed a few mugs to purchase and got in line. When it was her turn, she proceeded to ask what bagels were available and the cashier’s response was ‘we’re out of bagels…NEXT!’ and proceeded to try and get the order from the next customer. She DID NOT apologize for not having bagels, she DID NOT try to suggest anything else, she DID NOT offer to ring up her retail items but what she DID DO was be VERY RUDE to the point where the ‘next’ customer gave my friend a look that indicated that it definitely was not anything my friend did.

Needless to say, she ended up going to another local bakery that’s off the beaten path and the customer service was a total 180 and of course, ended up purchasing more than what she originally intended and they now have a new loyal customer. Even though you may not think one customer can make a difference, your loss is their gain.

Still a great place to visit when in Long Beach but like most things now a days you're paying more for a little bit less. Still good pastries, coffee and atmosphere when you can find a place to sit but that should be a good indicator that it's doing well. I'll always stop when in I'm in town.

You can never go wrong stopping in for the biscuits and gravy!!!! Absolutely amazing!!! Biscuits are big thick and light. The gravy is the perfect thick mixture of gravy amd meat. And of the course donuts! Ive been coming here since I was a kid. Definitely recommend for everyone to stop in, grab a coffee, breakfast, and some donuts or other pastries.

We bought cake from the shop for my sons birthday and it was sooo good! One of the most moist and soft cakes with light cream! I highly recommend the bakery for their cakes.
