My family and I enjoyed some really delicious dishes here yesterday. The big surprise for us at a Mexican restaurant was the BBQ ribs!! They were fall-of-the-bone- melt-in-your-mouth tender and super flavorful. The enchiladas were on point and just the right spice level ( for me). The chips and salsa brought out to the table before our meals were delish ( and really difficult to stop once started). The waitress was really working hard to serve all the patrons and was a real sweetheart!! Overall, a great dining experience at El Compadre!

This restaurant is beautiful! The tiles to the table tops are gorgeous. The servers are friendly and attentive. They even offered my service dog water. The food is delicious! I had the super burrito. It was so, so good. The refried beans were THE BEST! I will definitely be back.

Wonderful,and super friendly staff. If you are staying at the mermaid inn and rv next door you get 10%off . And the food was amazing they even send each order with a personal bag of fresh chips and salsa. We Can't wait for our next visit to long beach.

The food and service were incredible. Very attentive, kind, and generous. Many chips and salsa along with plenty icy cold water. Also got candy for everybody at the end, which was a wonderful treat. The service is stellar and so is the food. Plenty rice and beans, so if you aren't a fan of this, make sure to ask first. The atmosphere is beautiful, filled with colors, exotic fruits and birds. Highly recommended!

I've had lots of Mexican food, and this was by far the best Mexican food I've had in the North Coastal area. Beyond delicious! Dino made sure our order was correct and his service was friendly! Highly recommend!
I have to leave a review for this restaurant. I am not able to for other restaurants due to the quality of food these days. This place was FABULOUS. I can't talk about it enough. My friend and I shared the fahita burrito. It was huge like two meals in one. The guacamole was great as the salsa was also. All homemade. I will be back to share the experience with my hubby in the near future.😊

Very good Mexican food. It is as authentic as I have found on the peninsula. I came from the San Jose CA area, so my standard for authenticity is pretty high. I didn't see goat or chorizo and eggs on the menu. When we asked about the chorizo, they had to inquire if it was available. Didn't think to ask about the goat. All in all, or was good food, with friendly service.
