We've been visiting Long Beach every year for years and always enjoy trying the local restaurants — but this place was a serious letdown. The wait for our food was absurdly long, and when we finally got our food, it was mediocre. Definitely not worth the time or the price.
What sealed the deal, though, was the owner's shockingly rude reaction when one of us brought in a small outside snack after waiting for what seemed like forever. Instead of handling the situation with any kind of empathy or professionalism, they doubled down with an attitude that was downright hostile.
Needless to say, we won’t be back — and we'll be letting friends, family, and fellow travelers know to steer clear as well. There are far nicer places in the area with much better food that actually value their customers. We'll take our business there

Fish overcooked so bad it was tough, lady at counter rude and snippy- but the fries weren't bad... Ended up throwing most of it away. Go somewhere else.

I was told I was unable to enter the store because I had a cup in my hand that I had just purchased from another store (souvenir), even after demonstrating it was new and EMPTY!!!! So am I supposed to leave my newly purchased cup outside while I enter your establishment and hope that it’s there when I get back? Do better. That was stupid. And you were not kind whatsoever.

Strawberry banana milkshake was good in taste. It was thick in consistency and filling for one person. The cost was $7.59 for it.

My family and I were from out of town and we ate there and it was horrible.Two of us had fish and chips that came with fries,Cole slaw and chowder.Cole slaw was really bad, chowder well disgusting and the fish was so over cooked it was like shoe leather.The only good food was the French fries.My brother had a deluxe cheeseburger and the burger looked like it was dug out of the trash.The bill was $60 and wasn't worth $6. I would not recommend this place to anyone.Very disappointed and gross 🤢

Friendly and prompt service and the fish and chips are finger kissing good. We make a point to stop here whenever we are in the area.
Excellent spot for some dinner with family and or friends. I myself had a chicken basket which was very good and plentiful, the breading and white meat was of excellent quality and kept me interested with each bite. Service was friendly and forgiving even when a small mess up occurs. The place is a great small business I'd recommend to anyone visiting Long Beach.

I took a break with my husband and drove to Long Beach. When we got to town, there were car events and markets, and the streets were crowded with people. I couldn't park on Main Street, but it was nearby. For lunch, we chose Hungry H Grille. The interior was like an old-fashioned American restaurant. After looking at the menu, we ordered fish & chips and a clam chowder bread bowl. You can't get free water, but the water bottle is 23 cents, so don't worry. When you order, you will be asked if you want to eat outside or inside the store. Two women in the store bring food, but it takes quite a while. Fish & Chips was delicious because it was freshly fried and hot. There were plenty of clam chowder bread bowl, so it was just right for two people to share. The restroom is located in a confusing location, but it is available. Good place to eat here.
Parking: There are many free parking lots nearby, although parking is not possible because the front of the store is crowded with cars.

Absolutely disgusting owner. Looked at us as we were lower than him. Wouldn’t let us bring the candy in the we got just next door that was in the bag we got at checkout. Another person behind us was given attitude for asking questions. Horrible. Keep children away.
