Beware: booking a short-term room here will not put you in the landmark hotel, but the adjacent motel. Cleanliness wasn't great, and the 30-year-old A/C pumped out warm air, gently. The room was basic, TV, fridge, microwave, but oddly no hand soap in the bathroom.

We just stopped for lunch on our way back to Tacoma. The dining room is correctly furnished for the period of history when this hotel was built. I ordered chicken salad. My chicken wasn't fresh, it was old like it had been left out on the counter too long. The meat was strong in flavor, tough - so I sent it back and asked for their shrimps instead. The shrimps were delicious. The chef came out and I explained what was wrong. All things considered, they should have given us complimentary dessert. I would give this restaurant another chance because the chef was concerned but if it happened again, that would do it for me.

Just visited for an early dinner and it was our first time in. We were pleasantly surprised with the menu, food and service. Can't wait to return.

Every time I have come here ... I am never disappointed. We come here when we visit our daughters. We are from CA. Service - 5 Salmon- 5 star. Ordered this a 2nd time very moist Side of zucchini 3 star- a bit too salty New York steak 3.5 Sirloin 5 star cooked perfectly Chicken Alfredo 3.5 Brussels sprouts-5 Green beans 5 Lava cake 4+... excellent... could use more ice cream though... don't leave without having this!!! We will continue to return here in our visits to Longview.

I threw my friends birthday dinner here last night and we had a fabulous time! Grant and Sherry made the planning process so easy and were both as nice as they come. There were about 20 of us and our server Jake was so organized, friendly and patient. A total pro. We all raved about the food and service. Highly recommend Grant's for your next event.

Once upon a time, Longview and Kelso had a number of places one could go for a nice dinner or a cocktail. Henri's, Peter's, Christopher's all come to mind, long gone but still happy memories... Times have changed so I was happy to see that Grants had taken over the space in the Hotel. I don't live in the area anymore and wanted a nice place to meet with family for drinks and a meal. Food was good, drinks were spot on and the service was timely and unobtrusive. Scheduling our next family get together at Grant's. Even my picky mother will enjoy herself.
