A truly special experience and incredible bakery. We swung by for “just a little treat” for the road and had one of those “I’ll have one of everything” moments… literally. We feasted on delicious baked goods, sweet and savory, for a few marvelous days after.

Many rural communities here in the PNW have a local bakery or three. Some are a couple steps above supermarket baked items for 3x the cost (and those are still mostly worth patronizing), and others you simply can't compare to anything mass produced. That is Barn Owl. Their products are simply fabulous.

I am a personal fan of any of their savory pastries, croissants, scones and their regular bread. The only drawback to this bakery is the somewhat wonky pre-ordering system where you struggle to eat everything you can only order one day of the week! But that's what makes this place special: it's true small batch at its best.

Lopez is a special place. It is because of the community and the people. Purveyors like Barn Owl represent everything that makes Lopez what it is.

I’ve traveled the world and this is one of my all time favorite bakeries! Particularly the sour dough pastries, and the spelt crackers. They have the perfect texture and perfect amount of butter. The savory and sweet pastries are equally delicious. I also really enjoyed the sliced bread. We bought a loaf and made delicious toast and sandwiches for days. You can place your order a day or two in advance and pick it up at the farm stand or farmers market which makes it even more convenient (they sell out quickly). I honestly feel like they should win some kind of award for their quality and deliciousness.

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing the products are. It is abundantly clear the people that bake the goods infuse them with love, and their good karmic deeds go into every detail. It was healing to my soul to eat their unique offerings. Thank you to the owners who understand the spirituality of their work. Anyone that is interested, please don’t pass up this gem of a bakery on the island. And please support local! ❤️

If you focus on one thing on the island, focus on grabbing some of Barn Owl Bakeries bread and butter. Their fresh pear and blueberry scone was also divine and the pesto twist!? One of the best pastries we've ever had in our life. I wish I had bought 10! Can't wait to prioritize this location every time we visit the island ❤️

Somewhat "curious" bakery outside und town and in forest.Definitely not priceworthy, I may say expensive, but good quality. Enjoys a good reputation on the Island.

I'll keep this brief in hopes of avoiding hyperbolic ranting: in all my sweet tooth travels globally, Barn Owl Bakery cookies are in the top 5 memorable! I wasn't a fan of their breads (more of a "me" problem since I don't eat bread, nothing against BOB), but the cookies were so "turn the car around NOW" mindblowing indescribably good (and healthy) that we'd risk missing the ferry back mainland.

Gorgeous barn bakery right off the road. Bread was hot as promised around Thursday around 3:30. Can pay with Venmo or cash, but be sure you have service. Delicious, chewy sourdough loaf! They have other types as well and mini loaves.

Fresh bread comes out of the oven at 3:00 ish. Unfortunately I could not stay until then. However, I buy the bread at other stores and it is always good

Go at 3:30 thursday or Friday for freshly baked bread! The baker’s ciabatta and rosemary shortbread cookies are incredible!
