Bellewood Farms and Distillery is a gem. This year (2024), I've been sick, so I order their prepared Thanksgiving meal for 4. It was very affordable and delicious! It easily fed six of us. They offer pies as well for an extra fee, but our son-in-law made pies. I'll do it again next year.

I was smart enough to get their Thanksgiving to go meal - and WOW!! The food is incredible, obviously made with care, and so so tasty! I have been to Bellewood several time for apple picking and shopping in their cafe. The staff is lovely and truly care about what they do and the quality. I love this place!

Good food. It has an apple orchard and pumpkins. Fun things to do during holidays or events. They carry a lot of products made from apples including wines and cider. A number of fun items to purchase. Things for the kids to see.

I never understood why people love Honeycrisp apples until I had some freshly picked from the trees here. They are much sweeter, more aromatic, and juicier than any Honeycrisp you’ll find in a grocery store. Their apples are in season from September to October, so mark your calendar and pay a visit to the farm. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely LOVE this place! I have been here too many times to count even since I was younger, Amazing staff super welcoming place. Owners are seriously the nicest people I have ever met! Apple orchard was beautiful and very tasty apples! The apple donuts were amazing (definetly recommend when you go)! Tractor rides are so fun, perfect for kids! And a very nice bonfire as well! Love this place I will continue to come here forever! Highly recommend!

First and last visit. The two employees I interacted with were not very friendly.

Very busy and crowded. Not enough baskets of apples. Was hoping to get small coffee liquor to try, but it only comes in big bottles. Love the excellent big fire ring!

Good price for the amount of apples, and the apples are delicious!! Cafe fries are legendary

What a beautiful orchard. This was my first time here and I was in awe. We took the train to the picking area. The ride was a bit bumpy so hold on tight. Stay within the barrels and we picked apples to fill our bag. They have a few shops and food spots. We had the mini doughnuts and it was yummy. Overall, a fun spot to hangout with family and friends.

Been coming for years, but this has been the worse experience so far. We came on a nice Saturday so it was super busy and the lines for anything were crazy long. Waited 15 min to order food, then another 25 min to get the food. One kid wanted a hot dog which is at another stand outside, so we had to wait another 10 min in line for a hot dog and small bag of chips for $8.50. We also ordered mini-donuts and waited 40 minutes for them! We wanted to go on the train but they now charge $2/person and each adult has to sign a 2 page waiver form. We also wanted some apples and to pick a small bag is $24! Once we finally got out to the orchard there were almost no apples (October 12th)! We wandered for a long while before finding the kind we liked and there was maybe two rows left on the trees. There were also yellow jackets EVERYWHERE with not a single trap or deterrent anywhere so they kept landing on us and my kids were freaking out.
The place is pretty and they have lots of outdoor space, good ambiance and good food. I really wished they had more photo opts around and create a better flow for people to stand in lines or something, it was SO crowded. They also really nickle-and-dime you at every corner, we ended up spending around $150+ for lunch, donuts and apples for a family of 5. I won't go back on a nice Saturday but would still go back for a weekday lunch or breakfast for the cafe.

The distillery people are really friendly and helpful, but the woman at the checkout stand was purposefully rude and nasty for no apparent reason, after I gave her a friendly greeting.

Not sure what happened. Maybe they got too big too fast, but used to really enjoy going. Parking is a nightmare. They ran out of food on a Sunday, around 1:40ish, and the staff were clearly overwhelmed. We were lucky to get some of the last bit of food they were serving, but it took 40ish minutes to get it and then it was cold? Love their apples, cider, and honey roasted peanut butter, but you can get all that at a local grocery store. Avoid this farm if you enjoy peaceful autumn outings.

Bellewood on a Wednesday- two adults, two kids

This used to be THE place to come for all things apples, pumpkins and the whole fall experience. Unfortunately that’s not the case anymore.

Pros- lots of parking, free to go walk around, cute and large shop with pastries, local goods and cute items to purchase. Fun fire pits outdoors, food for purchase which was good. A lot of apples so plentiful picking.

Cons- they charge for the tractor ride to the orchard. This is new and a way to increase their profit margins. $2 per person on top of the expensive bags for apple picking. They used to allow free rides out and back and honestly, they should at the price they charge for apples.
The tractor ride is very short (yes you can absolutely walk unless you have littles who are dying for a tractor ride).
The front cashier was very rude about said tractor rides claiming they need to pay their drivers (as if they were just donating their time before??) and throws her hands up stating “it’s life” when I asked about the cost. Linda was incredibly rude and just about ruined the morning for us with her defensive attitude.
Bees are everywhere. Everywhere. I got stung and my toddlers very near were stung if we weren’t constantly swatting the bees away. This is not specific to Bellewood of course but it certainly doesn’t make for a fun time.
The outdoor stand for mini doughnuts was closed, seemingly only open on weekends? There was not a pumpkin launcher, only about 2 carts for pumpkins.

Everything just seems to be at such a reduced capacity on the weekdays that the experience wasn’t as fun as it could have been. I wish Bellewood would invest in a few infrastructures to make the customer experience better. They have the space for a nice playground, not a bunch of tires stacked on each other.

Parents would love to see a nice fenced in playground, a distillery garden next to the playground so we can enjoy adult bevvies by a fire pit and be close to our playing kids (since after all, they are a distillery). Operate at full capacity during the week and encourage tips for the tractor drivers instead of charging a fee.

We won’t be going back or recommending Bellewood, instead we will recommend other patches in the area that have much more for kids to do.

My favorite place to come and spend the morning picking apples, enjoying the food and hot drinks and time on the farm. Bummed they are now charging for tractor rides and make you fill out a consent form but also respect that injuries and safety need to be addressed and inflation is tearing into everything including the cost of running a farm. In either case they are respectful and friendly about it all and still make it a fun experience for the kids. The apples are always amazing and fresh and I genuinely look forward to being able to go every year. It's worth adding to your bucket list!
