The food was yummy but service wasn’t great. Took a solid 25 minutes just to get menus and chips and salsa. Took another 1.5 hours to get our food. About 45 minutes into waiting the server came and told us they were out of the item we ordered so we had to change our order. Never was offered a refill on chips and salsa while we waited for our food. Once the food finally arrived it was getting dark outside (we were sitting outside) never an apology or anything for the service and wait.

First time here and since I live 5 minutes away, sorry I didn't come in here sooner. Tiny family-owned restaurant wonderful owners, good food I had the fajitas and a wonderful strawberry margarita. Wish they were dog friendly on their patio that was the only reason they did not get five stars

The food is delicious!! They seem to be a family owned and operated business, so they don't have a lot of staff, so your wait time might be longer than the typical restaurant. However, as long as you don't need instant gratification, I highly suggest Cancun. My husband and I love it.

Well worth going out of your way to find this little gem! Owner was grecious and helpful with the menu, staff were great! Food was beyond fantastic. Well prepared food, good variety, good beer selection and wonderful atmosphere! Would definately return if we are ever in the area again (visiting from Manitoba, Canada).

Cancun has the best small town atmosphere and makes the best Margaritas in Whatcom County!!
We recently traveled to Cabo and had Chicken Mole at a resort. The chicken Mole here at our local Cancun was hands down better! Oh and the fresh raspberry Margaritas in the summertime…the very best!

Best Fajitas I have ever had. Sometimes you have to wait or can't get a table but thats just the way it is with this family run authentic Mexican restaurant. They put out such good food it's so worth it. Go early or be patient. They are awesome!!!

Food is delicious! Margaritas are the best around. A quaint little stop that will leave you very satisfied. Best Mexican food in Lynden.

I ate here for the first time a couple of days ago, and I was pleasantly surprised. I was on my own for the night, so I didn't get much - just the basic ground beef taco combination with beans and rice, some chips & salsa with a side of guacamole. Everything was delicious. I love good homemade tortilla chips and these were perfect! Every single part of the meal was very well seasoned. A tiny bit spicy for me, but I'm kind of a spice wimp ?
Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who has not yet tried it.

Fajitas came out with most of the veggies completely raw, steak was tough and dry. Everything was covered in a weird seasoning that didn’t taste like much, it burned into the oil. Beans were watered down, so they splattered across the plate and rice tasted microwaved. Green sauce on the burrito was also watered down & didn’t have flavor.

Fajitas were $21.75 and a bit short on chicken. For amount of chicken I think 18.75 to 19.75 would be reasonable. Cancun margaritas were very good as was taco/chilie relleno. Fajita was delicious! Salsa spicy, but that's a relative item. Chips and service were very good.

Flavorful food and drinks. Had Chile relleno. Skinny margarita. I normally don't care for Spanish rice, but this was very good. My only problem was with service. I've been in Lynden for a week and this is the only establishment where the greeting was lukewarm and service below par. I was the ONLY person in the restaurant. Food took extremely long. No one checked on me. A very young girl brought my bill at the end. Just kinda odd. Maybe less quirky service during dinner hours??
