Excellent food at reasonable prices with a full bar in back and family friendly atmosphere in main dinning area. A go to spot for the locals and must stop for any and all people passing through. Owned and operated by a local family so with great food and supporting local small business, it's a nobrainer.

A small local Mexican restaurant, with good food and personalized service. I go here semi regularly, and it is as clean as a whistle. The owner is there frequently and is a nice and gracious host. This most recent visit was beyond good, so here is the review!

The restaurant only had 2 other tables occupied when we arrived for lunch on a Saturday. I ordered the Arroz Con Pollo which was supposed to be their "Signature dish". Not sure what that means but I assume it's the owners favorite. It's one of my go-to dishes when trying a new place. My wife had an enchilada and tostada combo. Prices were average. $18-$20We received the obligatory chips and salsa right away. Our food came in an average amount of time, but I never received my soda until I asked for it. Would have been nice to have when eating the chips and salsa before the meal. The arroz con pollo was ok. It was a bit bland and the chicken was "squeaky" in your teeth. if that makes sense. Not tough. Just maybe dry? The fresh tortillas were doughy. Definitely not cooked all the way. The ground beef in my wife's dish was bland also. Could have used some salt and more chili powder maybe.Neither the owner/manager guy that seated us nor the person who brought us our food ever came by to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. We noticed the single gentlemen at the only other occupied table had to get up and ask for his bill. When we were finished, we waited a bit since we weren't in a hurry. Finally, I got up and walked toward the kitchen. The manager apologized and stated that they were really busy with to-go orders. He immediately came out with the bill and walked away. I then walked to the register to get his attention again.Overall disappointing. I will try a different place next time I visit Lynden.

This place has been here forever. It is not the best Mexican food I have ever had but for the price, it is good. The service was good. The food came out quite fast and was very hot. I had the Chile Relleno which was decent. My wife had a chicken Quesadilla which was OK. All for under $20. Definitely would come back.

The food was adequate. The most disappointing point of the evening was a couple came in with their children and a large poodle dog not a service animal I am allergic to dogs will never eat there again. Dogs do not belong in restaurant's. Perhaps a sign saying service animals only.

I went here recently on a date, and it was perfect. Both of us love mexican food, and this was so authentic! We ordered margaritas, and they were probably the only thing we were a little bummed about, but! It was nothing an extra shot couldn't take care of! We split the carne asada and it was absolutely delicious, we ordered it with flour tortillas and they made them in house and they were soo good! Also, they are the ONLY Mexican food restaurant that I have gone to in the last 10 years that still actually gives you pico and fried ice cream complimentary. One of the biggest highlights of the visit was when the cutest little old lady came out and set our napkins and silverware.. it was extremely heartwarming. They will definitely be seeing me again!Kid-friendliness: Super family friendly and oriented!

This might be my favourite place to visit, restaurant or whatever. These people are the best. The food is amazing for sure, the pico and the salsa and the chips, and the fajitas, wow, but these fine people who run this place are some of the warmest, funniest people you will ever meet. We drive from Canada to get our dose of el ranchito, and it is always worth the drive!!!!! ENJOY!!!
