We visited during the Whatcom Fair and we were so thankful for the quiet atmosphere.

Go for lunch and have the burger special, it's very good but you'll need fries with that since the burger is a bit small. Make sure the bun is toasted as they can be a bit cold. The Italian sandwich is good too.

Nice place with great food. The pizzas were a hit with the kids.

Steakhouse 9 used to have the highest quality food in Lynden, especially a great burger. But quality has diminished. We have noticed this over the past year. But last night was really bad. My husband and I spent $73 for a low quality meal. I had a burger and the meat was so dry and tough that I only ate half of it. I added the soup of the day, salmon bisque, which was just a gross thick gooey salmon mixture. I took one bite and told the waitress to tell the cooks they should probably take it off their menu. She agreed it did not look good and took it away. To her and the cook on duty's credit they offered a free dessert, but really I wanted a credit on the expensive bill for soup upcharge I didn't eat. My husband who usually likes anything and will eat anything, had the honey mustard crispy chicken burger with a Caesar salad. He said the salad had a metallic taste. I took a bite and there was definitely something wrong with it. He did not eat it in case it was bad dressing. He also said the honey mustard chicken burger was not very good and he only ate half of it. My biggest frustration is that you pay a high price at this place expecting quality food. Its tough walking out with a $73 bill after a poor meal which neither of us finished when we could have spent a lot less for a better meal elsewhere. Too bad as we have enjoyed the place in the past. My suggestion is they focus on the food quality and not the peripherals of looking fancy. But in any case we will probably spend our eat out $ elsewhere.

We love to go here! Eating outdoors is our favorite. We like the dining room and lounge too. There's a great food selection so it'll make anyone have something they like. We like it all!

I had a wonderful dinner with my mom here. It is a nice clean calm beautiful atmosphere. Very helpful and kind service. I had a burger and a dark and stormy drink. We were able to have a long conversation with lots of privacy. Highly recommend.

Me and three others went there and all ordered the same thing: filet mignon with the prawns and au gratin potatoes with asparagus. One of my companions said it was the best steak she'd ever had. I agree.
Great staff, great atmosphere, beautiful and competent waitresses.π
Definitely will be going back. π

Ordered Teriyaki bowl as did another in our party. My portion was about 1/2 of the other.
There were no wok-fried Asian vegetables in either bowl... just a couple of pieces of onion. The spicy yogurt dressing had zero spice.
Rice... yogurt... chicken... teriyaki sauce... raw green onions.
Ordered the bread pudding desert... barely warm.
The food was very disappointing.
The portion size is good, service was good, atmosphere is really nice. All is lost on the food. I had the β9β burger, so I canβt say anything about other menu items.
Chewy undercooked bacon on a poorly cooked burger on a soggy bun.
Excellent service great food

I ordered the special that was listed as "burnt ends macaroni and cheese" and I got Mac and cheese with slices of sausage, definitely not burnt ends. The name also has "steakhouse" in it and there's 1 steak on the entire menu.
