Wissota Chophouse - Lynden

Nice staff. Steak was just alright not great. Definitely needed seasoning like a dash of salt. Quality was just alright but price $$$ for an alright steak was wild. Also you have to purchase all sides for your main course individually like $22&up. Salmon was just alright really basic. Asparagus wasn’t so tasty kinda burnt tasting/over cooked. Drinks were strong but also overpriced. I don’t plan on a return visit. Best thing was the two crab cakes we tried other than that basic. Also free bread was hard.

We did a celebration dinner there and were delighted. The shareable menu has many unique choices. The lobster bisque was creamy and delicious. All our entrees were cooked perfectly and we shared 3 sides that were wonderful. The chocolate cake tower is as awesome as it sounds. This will be a top choice for us for celebrations and date nights.

We stopped here after our wedding before heading to Canada, we had the fried alligator and some drinks. The staff were very attentive, and even offered a complimentary dessert as a congratulations. I was nervous to try the alligator, but it was really good! Amazing atmosphere, very cozy. Glad I tried this place out and will definitely go back.

Food was terrible. Worst lobster I have ever had. Wife got a salad with chicken not good either. Restaurant is nice inside, service was decent. Won’t be coming back.

We visited the 2 nights we stayed in the hotel. First night had amazing salads and second night had perfectly cooked steaks. Service was extremely attentive. Highly recommend!

Great selection of cocktails, and great food! A staple for Lynden. Glad to have this Chophouse and the Cobblestone hotel here to bolster the level of cuisine and hospitality in the community.

Food itself is very good quality. I had sea bass on first visit and it was undercooked. Same experience with salmon on my second visit. Sides, salads and drinks are all very good. Excellent service at the bar. Very nice restaurant and patio area is A+.

After several visits to Wissota, I figured it was time to share a recommendation: if you’re considering a visit—go for it!

I genuinely love this place and, more importantly, I’ve never had a bad meal here. I typically go for the burger, which is consistently delicious and a great value for the size and quality. I’ve also came for a special occasion, where we went all out with the bacon slabs, porterhouse, bacon bleu fries, and garlic whipped potatoes. The steak was perfectly medium rare with a beautiful crust, and every side genuinely exceeded expectations.

As for dessert, the chocolate cake is fantastic, but the raspberry tiramisu is, without exaggeration, one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

While the food is the highlight for me, the service is always attentive, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and inviting. Highly recommend

Very cozy restaurant! The salmon is delicious and the drink menu has some nice wine choices and interesting drinks. The hotel attached is very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive, I will definitely return!

We wanted to check out the new restaurant and had family visiting from Hawaii, so we had a big dinner here a couple of months ago. The service was impeccable and the menu had great options. We enjoyed the food and appreciated such attentive service. We’ll definitely be back.

Honestly, not worth the amount they charge. My steak was incredibly tender, BUT zero flavor, very very disappointedabout my steak tasting like nothing... service was so so it took quite a long time to receive food and only 2 other tables were there. I asked if they could put 18th birthday candles on my son's desert that I provided but when coming out with it, I needed to ask them to actually light them, I thought that was pretty obvious what we were wanting. When getting our left over food to take home the server packaged my steak without the extra onions I paid extra for so, I had to request that I'd like to have the onions packaged as well🤦🏻‍♀️😅 just little things that for a $500 charge we shouldn't have had to worry about. We probably wont go back, but maybe....it's still very new & maybe they'll get better. Also it's very very dark, and I guess for a romantic dinner it would be nice but not exactly the atmosphere for a group dinner or birthday celebration.

I have visited Wissota Chophouse a few times now and it has quickly become our favorite date spot. Delicious drinks, great service, and food is spectacular.
