I really appreciate the cultural significance of this hungarian restaurant, and the opportunity to try home made Hungarian dishes in an atmosphere that teleports you to a classic Budapest restaurant. I have never seen this place as busy as it should be, and I encourage everyone to go and invite their friends if you want to taste the cuisine of a unique part of the world!

Cute little restaurant operated by two lovely ladies that gives an intimate and authentic feeling.
The recipes rotate daily, but there's generally two appetizers and three entres and sides to pick from. Homemade bread is provided.
The inside is small and cute with various vintage decorations and seasonally rotating tablecloths. The bowls are just like my grandma had. The food is great and filling, not to mention things you can't normally find. Both staff are very friendly.
The only issue is price. At $23-24, you'll pay more than any other regular restaurant for a limited amount of entre, although it's filling with the salad and potatoes, for example. It's all made in smaller batches and with local ingredients, so I don't doubt the quality or even cost, and they must be doing it right to survive 20 years in the restaurant business, but it breaks my heart the place doesn't get more business and I'm afraid this might be why.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place as we were making our way to the Whidbey Island ferry. Not only did it blow our expectations out of the water, but it was so good that it became a highlight of our entire trip to the Pacific Northwest. In all the best ways, it felt like we were being served a delicious home-cooked dinner by our grandparents. Cozy, delicious, reasonably priced, and huge portions. Plus, they are wheelchair accessible with plenty of space for me to maneuver! LOVE.

I just love this place. Homemade food, authentic, and absolutely delicious. The owner makes a different menu every day, and I tell you: go in and eat there!! It is soooooo cozy and cute and comfy and looks like grandma's home during Christmas!!! The happiness eating at this place is real... I am Latina and I felt like I was home, while I was eating an European food, because her food bring every flavor and memories, no matter where you are from... you should try it, if you like comfort food.

The food is simple, well made, and high quality. The place is small and well attended and the staff are sweet. Nice decorations and a warm, pleasant atmosphere. It feels like eating at a relative's home where the food is cozy and the cook is happy you're there. We can't get enough!
