Literally the worst cafe rio in existence. They ALWAYS mess up orders then give you attitude when you bring it back or contact them. Corporate needs to just shut this location down as it just gives cafe rio a bad name.

The food is fantastic, the portions are generous, and the staff is chill. This is definitely one of the best places to eat at Alderwood mall, for me it’s worth leaving the mall to get there. My favorite item is the quesadillas, they’re huge and the meat is juicy and it goes really well with the sour cream.

I really like their burritos. Specifically the sweet pork barbacoa enchilada style.

I hate to be a Karen, but this was not up to Cafe Rio standards. Tortillas were cold, rice was crunchy, the horchata was like water, and then we watched a worker crawl up on the counter with their feet by the drinks, to clear them out 2 hours before they close.

A lotbof food for the price. Excellent service and worth the stop.

The staff here are so wonderful and the food is soooo yummy! Their tortilla soup is the best on a cold day. I feel bad saying it, but their sweet pork bowls are better than Chipotle!

I’m writing as a longtime Cafe Rio fan who grew up in Salt Lake City, where the brand was founded. I now live in Washington, and I’ve noticed a stark difference in quality and portion sizes between the Lynnwood location and those in Northern Utah.
Tonight, we ordered three salads, and all three had noticeably smaller portions – about a third of the typical lettuce, half the protein, and were overloaded with rice and beans. We understand that rising costs for ingredients, wages, and rent are a challenge for everyone. However, it’s disappointing to see this location:
1. Raise prices
2. Compromise on quality ingredients
3. Reduce portions
We recognize the reality of the “fast, good, or inexpensive – pick two” situation. But at this point, Cafe Rio in Lynnwood feels neither well-priced compared to competitors nor consistent in quality and portion sizes.
As a loyal fan since day one, I believe the brand deserves better representation at this location. I hope this feedback is helpful and can lead to improvements.
Thanks for listening to my TED Talk

Horchata was so watery and just disgusting. I’ve never EVER had a bad horchata in my life until today. Food was okay though.

Below average for above average prices. Go to chipotle instead.

The person who helped me kept telling me he would never eat there because of the high price. They were also out of rice. Then they forgot my dressing for my salad. I am a huge Cafe Rio fan. Visit in other states. This was very disappointing.

We are from Salt Lake City where the Cafe rio was founded. We have been eaten Cafe rio for entire our life. We love Cafe rio. but the portions the staff give us are so tiny. We paid $35 for two people, and the meat portion was smaller than a Happy Meal. Just giving a bunch of lettuce. Specifically, they seem to give smaller portions to Indians, Asians, and people who are very young or small.
Please consider whether the portion is enough for the price and if it would be sufficient even for you.

If I didn’t crave some of their food items I would not frequent this Cafe Rio. I have been to this Rio at several different times of the day and always attributed the dirty state to the possibility that I may have just missed the “rush”. Well I was there 30 minutes after opening and it was in the same dirty state as always. I am glad I can’t see the very back of house because I’m sure it would ruin our relationship. If they care so little about the areas their customers can see, imagine what the areas look like they cannot see. Workers are hit and miss, some are great, some seem as though they would be fine if you died right where you stand. But hey, it’s fast food, right?
