Tasty Peruvian food. The seafood was extremely spicy that didn't work for me, but otherwise there is no complains.

I came on a Sunday morning for a pollo a la brasa to go that I've been craving for weeks, paid close to $45 with fries, salad and tip. When I made it home roughly 15 minutes later and serve the pollo, I realized the chicken was cold to the touch, hard, and dry. The fries were soggy and cold as well. The salad was the only thing that was edible. The chicken clearly was cooked the day or days before and it wasn't freshly cooked the same with the fries. This is so disappointing because I'm Peruvian and I know what I'm expecting but it also ALWAYS seems that it is your own Peruvian peers the ones who try to screw you over. This is so disrespectful and disgusting! This has never happened to me at an American restaurant for example. Just next time save yourself the trip of coming here and go straight to San Fernando. At least I have never received old food from them. Never coming back here. I can't speak for the other food but once being served leftovers I don't plan to ever give this place another chance.

Very good food! The only regular thing is that the music is sometimes very loud... but the service and food are very delicious.

Really good food and big portions, I like the combo plates. The prices are fine and the staff are very nice and attentive.

Overall, this place is overpriced and lacks authentic Peruvian flavor. The flavor of the food has noticeably declined. A month ago, I ordered âpollo a la brasa,â and it tasted like a Costco rotisserie chicken, despite the price being three times higher. I tried to overlook this, so yesterday I decided to give it another shot and ordered ceviche and arroz de mariscos.
While the ceviche was decent, the arroz con mariscos was disappointingly bland. To top it off, I was charged more than what was listed on the menu. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she acknowledged the discrepancy but stated there was nothing she could do since those were the prices in the system.
It's clear that the owner needs to update the menus with accurate pricing.
My girlfriend is from Peru, and she approves! Very authentic food, super tasty, nice people.

This is an astonishing restaurant and Peruvian cuisine is amazing and interesting, quite different from the rest of Central or South America. I had their sample seafood platter the first time--highly recommended--and then came back for the ceviche the second day. Wow. Also v nice people.

ATTENTION, the treatment they offer you is the most disastrous and disgusting, to say the least, I am Mexican and I like Peruvian cuisine and I am not going to change my taste but here the service is the worst, they treated me as if I was not going to pay for the food, Yacira c, if you are not happy in your job, look for another one and do not spoil the clients' food, we were having a pleasant time and we received the opposite
Recommended dishes: Milanesa de Pollo
Very bad experience to begin with, they moved our table because we were 5 people and the tables were for 8 people and we chose that one because the others were for 4 people and that was not all when they brought the food there was a hair on the food. We let the waitress know that Yacira C Mayta served us and instead of changing the food what she did was remove her hair saying that sometimes they leave like that, the truth is it was terrible, a very unpleasant moment
I had a disappointing experience at El Rey Peruvian Restaurant. The service was extremely slow; it took 45 minutes just to get my order of chicken. When it finally arrived, the chicken was below expectationsâlacking flavor and definitely not worth the wait or the high price. For the quality provided, it felt way overpriced. Overall, I left feeling very let down and wouldn't recommend this place
