I have never felt so unwelcome. I can inside and ordered a bottle with my two little kids. The manager glared at my when she saw them. We sat outside in the grass and when staff came out to check out other customers, I was still ignored.My kids were minding their own business playing in the grass and I could hear the manager mumble something to them as she walked passed and then glare. They were doing anything wrong.This was late summer and it is stirring with me. I went here because I was told it was kid friendly. I am convinced the tasting room manager does not like kids. I will not be coming back nor will I recommend it.

This boutique winery has a new owners/wine maker. Most selections are of the previous owners there are never options too.We had a nice experience and conversation with a well informed server. We purchased several wines and returned on Friday for live music and the most fun we had while in the Lake Chelan area.Check this place out and definitely return for the entertainment
Great tasting room, friendly staff, nice wines and cheese.We enjoyed our tasting outside around the side on the new picnic tables. The sitting in the sun is enjoying our wine was very pleasant.

It's not often that we visit a tasting room where every offering is a winner. But Alta really surprised us with the quality of their selections. Karen & Jay (the owners) are definitely doing something right, and if you are visiting Lake Chelan you should make a stop at Alta part of your itinerary. You won't be disappointed. Beyond the great wines, the service was exemplary and kudos go out to Lori for helping some stranded travelers (us) out in a pinch. That was above and beyond the call of duty! (and truly appreciated!!)
