Love this place for a dainty little afternoon tea date. Plentiful selection of teas, tasty treats, and diversely decorated rooms. We made a reservation but it was hardly necessary, although we did go on a weekday. Take your gal pals or hubby and head to Attic Secrets Cafe! 🫖🦋🪴
I give 1 star for effort but that's it. We came for the Mother's Day Special Tea Day. Let me just say there was NOTHING special no table clothes napkins plates We didn't get to pick our own teacup & we didn't even have teaspoon instead they used Big Tablespoons. Food came out on ordinary white plates (nothing fancy) food was good. The 20% tip was automatically in the bill I didn't think that it warranted $50 let alone almost $200 for 4.
For such a special day might be our last management do better or just don't do it at all.
Not only was this a peaceful, tasty lunch, but the decor was amazing. We came here for my daughter's sweet 16 and were wowed. We each got the Grand Lady afternoon tea combo. The Grand Lady comes with 6 different sandwiches, and every one was tasty. The strawberry mango sorbet was mouthwatering and the little savory was perfectly light, moist and yum. My kiddo got the Royal Wedding tea, and I had the Cherry Pie tea. Both were delicious. I was worried that at $33/person, we wouldn't get enough to actually satisfy and was pleasantly surprised. I got filled up and my kiddo was unable to finish her portion. Already making plans to come again for another celebration. Can't afford to do this often but as a celebratory outing this is perfect!
It's a very nice tea room.
A coworker and I will go for tea Wednesday. So excited, can't wait.
Very cute and cozy tea place. We did the high tea and loved it! Their tea selection has lots of options. The sandwiches and sweets are very tasty. Decent price.
I love love love Attic Secrets!! The gluten free options are amazing and the warm, family environment is so welcoming and fun! My mom and sisters and all our daughters go for Christmas tea every year and I also love ordering to go!!
It's not a kid friendly place, despite stating so.
Great food, tea, atmosphere, and employees. We all really enjoyed our time there. Will be back!
Our salon was looking for a fun location to hold a team meeting and Attic Secrets was the PERFECT spot! The tea selection was abundant, and the experience was one we can't wait to go back for! We were seated in the Alice In Wonderland room and enjoyed a delicious lunch paired with a recommended tea. Every detail was well thought out, and there's so much to see and enjoy ~ Thank you for all the fun!

Lovely place, delicious food and wonderful tea selection!
I’m from Southwest Florida. I’ve not come across anything as that unique and delightful. Everyone was courteous polite. It was very comfortable in there. Not to mention how delicious everything was. I am gluten free diet and they were able to accommodate me with absolutely no problem and it was very good.
Attic Secrets is Marysville’s best-kept secret. In our quest to find an affordable high tea experience under $100 per person, we decided to venture outside of Seattle, and I’m so glad we did. Heading north, we found ourselves at this charming tea house, where even Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance. They were incredibly kind to the children, taking the time to walk around the tea house and chat with guests, adding a special touch to the experience.
From the moment you step inside, the place feels incredibly inviting. I could write a novel about how adorable it is. Each tea room has its own theme—ours was Alice in Wonderland, which was perfect for our 4-year-old companion. Kids are warmly welcomed, and they even have special kid-friendly plates.
The food was average, but the tea was the star of the show. We tried several varieties, sharing among our group, which is definitely the way to go if you want to sample a bit of everything. I left with a bag full of tea, and each one is absolutely delicious!
I came here for a nine-year-old tea birthday party and it was adorable.
GLOWS:
- I loved how there were individual rooms for different groups of people so it felt very private for parties. They were all decorated differently so you had a whole thing going on and it was all very cute.
- We liked all the teas we tried, and there was a very large selection of teas.
- Were our favorite. They were moist and really buttery and yummy and I loved eating it with the lemon custard and the whip cream.
- the cakes were given that were very moist and flavorful and there was a chocolate one and a vanilla one
- their gluten-free was very impressive, and my friend was very pleased that she was able to eat something. She said her gluten-free items were all very good.
GROWS
- The first savory item that the tea set came with was not good at all. I'm not even sure what it was, but it tasted like cardboard. It was like a cheese and chive biscuit or something and it just tasted like cardboard. Not to mention it was tiny.
- the sandwiches that the tea sets came with could've been filled with a little more filling. I felt like there were quite thin for what they were. Some of them I couldn't even tell what the fillings were because it was like a sliver of an apple or a sliver of spread.
- though all the rooms were very cute, Everything seemed a little outdated and older looking. It wasn't modern by any means.
- I don't think a lot of people work here so sometimes it was hard to get the attention of the servers. As long as you are aware of this, it shouldn't be too bad because you can just make sure you have everything in advance or go to the door by the kitchen to get their attention. They just seem understaffed so they don't come check in with you as much. Also, because the rooms are all separated it might be hard for them to know you're trying to wave them down.
Overall, the nine-year-old had a wonderful time and so that the adults that were there. We enjoyed the meal and we were full by the time we left. We even took home leftovers. Looking back now I would not get Grand lady because that was not really necessary And the price was not really worth it so next time I would get one step down.
I am updating my review because it's been close to 6 years since I was last here. I brought my 10 year old, and we loved it! The only criticism I have is for the mother daughter team to find a more private place to have their arguments. The kitchen amplified their voices and everyone could hear them. I didn't appreciate hearing the mother cussing at the daughter, or from the gentleman in the kitchen. Over all it was nice. My daughter and I had a great time there.
Parking: Parking can be an issue during busy times. Saturdays tend to be busy, having a reservation is suggested.
Kid-friendliness: Fairly older kid friendly, I've had my kids as young as 3 here and they offer a kids menu called little darling.
Wheelchair accessibility: Fairly open floor plan, might be a little tight in the rooms with tables, but otherwise I think it would be alright.
