Unfortunately didn’t realize the restaurant had done a reopening for this teriyaki bowl location on 5th street. My family and I used to love going there anytime we wanted take out but quickly realized that this food is not the same quality as before. Extremely dry beef teriyaki with little to no flavor. An undesirable steamed cabbage, I am unfamiliar if it’s normal to offer a large helping of onions with the teriyaki but it does not work for me. My wife’s food was “veggie fried rice” it looked like frozen veggies thrown into an oil ridden rice with pre cooked eggs. I am not a cook by any means but this is not quality food.

New owners are cheap “mixed vegetables” with your yaki is now a entire head of cabbage, the meat is flavorful and you get a free soda, that’s the only things that are good about this place. Nobody wants all that cabbage, stop being misers and put some broccoli and carrots in there or go back to cold salads with good dressing. Not impressed

Super bummed. This has been my go to teriyaki joint for so many years. Their katsu has been the best! Recently I ordered and was confused, thinking I ordered the wrong thing through Uber eats. Didn't think much of it, we normally call in a pick up order. Yesterday we called an order in and it was the same. Unsauced, mixed with a bunch of onions, and the sauce on the side was gross. I called the restaurant to see if they had a new chef, and the woman who answered said yes, and a new owner, that the menu was completely different. We wont be going back.

We have been to other Teriyaki restaurants in Marysville many times over the 40+ years we've lived here. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED in the food and service we received at this location!! This was the first time to try this location on 5th and will not be back. It took a long time to get order out and in the time we were waiting we only saw two orders come out of the kitchen and one was for a door dash driver to pick up but only one of his two orders were ready. When we were finally given our order it was given to us with a smile from the young lady. However, when we arrived home we found we had the entirely wrong order.

“Grand Re-opening” ruined my favorite teriyaki spot, i’ve always ordered the same thing every time i go. 2 star spicy chicken teriyaki and an order of gyoza, not only is the food more expensive the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be, the new recipes or whatever they changed is honestly just awful. almost 0 flavor doesn’t taste like teriyaki at all, almost no rice, i don’t usually leave reviews damn near ever but this is genuinely disappointing please go back to how it was. ate about 4 bites and gave it to a friend because of how bad it was.

We have been eating here almost every week for years. I always get the chicken teriyaki and my husband gets chicken fried rice. Last night he ended up getting the Yakisoba. Well, in my opinion the chicken teriyaki tasted completely different than any other time I have ever gotten it. I must say I am extremely disappointed. I can’t say whether or not the chicken fried rice has changed but definitely the teriyaki. I understand they just had a kitchen upgrade, not sure if that has anything to do with it. We absolutely love this place hence the reason we eat here all of the time. And we live in Sedro that should tell you something. However, I’m not sure I would make the trip. So disappointing!

In July they did a re open and it’s been so much better! The ingredients taste much better and fresher.
I personally get the Yakisoba, chicken or house, and it’s way better than it used to be

I had salmon teriyaki, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced, making it a very satisfying meal. I think I’ll be having it for dinner quite often from now on.

I am not sure if they are under new management but the food today 8-11-2025 was Horrible. And this is the ONE and only Spot I would go to other than SEATTLE. It saddens me that the quality and taste is absolutely different. The presentation itself is a mess compared to what I got before. And I always order the same thing. Beef & Chicken Combo plate.

A child answered the phone, so of course there was no greeting. Just a simple “Hello” and pause. 🫠. So I had to call a few times to make sure I called the right place. The order taken was definitely incorrect. The food was over bland and gingery.
If I could give it a zero I would have. Where’s the old owners? The old Cook? Why did everything taste so funky. And the salad livery was like 5-6 lettuce

Before the ‘re-grand’ opening. This place was packed with customers on Friday for dinner. Around 530p I placed my order online and when I walked in…completely empty! I was shocked and worried at the same time. Usually when a restaurant is empty kinda means a lot, especially during dinner. I got my order, no free drinks with my meal😞. I got the pork teriyaki plate and was a little disappointed. My plate wasn’t packed like it used to to be. Might as well be a mini. One the flip side, place is clean and staff was ok. Where did all the customers go???

I've been going here for years now, it was my to go place to get teriyaki, I would drive from Lake stevens just to get the food atleast once a week. I loved their spicy chicken 5 stars, they recently changed their recipe for the spicy chicken and I'm not a fan I've ordered twice already the first time caught me by surprise when I got home it had onions, I don't like onions so the second time I ordered without onions to give it another try and I was really disappointed I got extra spicy and it just tastes like plain chicken with a lot of garlic no spice at all I did what I'venever done before I had to put teriyaki sauce on it to make it taste like something, ended up pretty mutch just eating the rice, I liked the option to make it spicy from 1 to 5 stars not everyone has the same spice level so it was good to have that option and now it's just the same for everyone. I'm sad to say that I will probably will not be buying more from here , the salad is good the dressing is better then before the chicken jakisoba is also good just saw that i has way less then before, I always order the same food so that's the only thing I've noticed on the new food.

ordered the Chicken & Spicy Combo Teriyaki It was delicious and the meat was of great quality, though I thought there was a bit too much rice

With the new owner, the taste has been completely upgraded. It's really the best. I'm going to visit it often. I highly recommend it.

Highly recommended.
They said new chef has arrived. Two days ago, I ordered yakisoba, orange chicken and mongolian beef. Everything was fresh and too delicious with a hint of smoky flavor.

Great place for teriyaki food. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Clean store and great service. The yakisoba is huge and delicious. Plus it comes with rice and a free soft drink. Great value for me. Thank you for lunch
