Food was good, but a little pricey for a dive bar. I would imagine the service is better in prison. I've never been to prison, but we walked in not greeted by anyone so we went and sat down. I waited for one of the 4 people working to come to our table, but no one did. I went up to the bar and asked for a menu. I returned to my seat to review the menu and nothing. No one came to the table so I returned to the bar to ask if I ordered at the table or at the counter. Needless...

Great place to go have a quiet beer after work on the off hours. You can choose a few of your favorite songs and the barmaid is the best gal in town. Go on the weekend and there's a party guaranteed. Food is great too. Try the western burger.

I genuinely enjoy the time I spend at The Lariat. It's not pretentious, it's not phony, it's just a good bar for good people. You'll meet all kinds there, looking for a good time and trying to put their troubles behind them (for a few hours at least). It seems like neighborhood taverns are a thing of the past, but for some of us they still have their value. It's hard running a small business in this day and age, and it really bothers me to watch people...
