This restaurant NOT kosher certified - they have recently dropped their certification with the Seattle Va'ad. I am posting this review because they still seem to be publicly billing themselves as a kosher restaurant which is quite misleading and people who are visiting from out of town may not realize that this restaurant's kashrus can no longer be verified. Food is okay and staff is friendly but they are pretty pricey and wait times are often very long, even when the restaurant is close to empty. I would also call in advance to make sure they are open as they sometimes close randomly during normal hours.

Horrible service. The taste of the food and quality ranges from mediocore to outright terrible. Believe the bad reviews on here about this place. These scammers take advantage of the Kosher clientelle (people like me) and think they can get away with the WORST possible service and terribly prepared food because "they won't lose their customers anyways". I encourage people NOT to come here. Island Crust Cafe needs to learn how to behave like a real cafe. They should start by making sure all of their foods are served fresh and warm (not sponge like and feels like it was made a week ago and then reheated straight out of the refrigerator), offer reasonable prices (not $17 for a handful of prefrozen french fries together with 3 pieces of nasty decaying fish), not be rude to their customers, and actually have a fixed open schedule. These people need to provide quality food, service, and reasonable prices. If they continue their indecency there is no point for them to be around and people should stop going to them.

we had a lovely dinner for 4. A fantastic soy burger, wonderful falafal salad, and wonderful egg salad on rye. Delicious fries.Nice ambiance and great service. Can't wait to try them for lunch.

This place is NEVER open. They use the excuse they are experiencing staff shortages. Well so is everyone else, but at least one is able keep their doors open. This company need better management and staff. Other than that, the food is great.

I’d been wanting to try Island Crust for awhile after noticing their sign near Hap’s. I was happy to learn they specialize in vegetarian and ended up ordering it for my birthday dinner. I had the falafel pocket and my family shared the Natural and Vulcan pizzas. Highly enjoyed my first tastes.

It makes me so sad to leave a one star review anywhere, but I truly feel that our experience at Island Crust warrants this. I knew when we entered and saw several tables that had not been bussed and looked as if they’d been dirty for a long time that something was up. We waited over an hour to receive our simple order (no pizzas, just Mac n cheese and a falafel sandwich). While we waited, we listened to staff getting snippy with each other in the kitchen. We tried to leave several times, but were told over and over again that our food was 2 or 3 minutes out. When we finally got our food, it was very disappointing. My partner did not like his pasta and my falafel sandwich was super salty. I understand that Island Crust provides an important service as a kosher restaurant on the island. But my experience there today was one of the worst I’ve had at a restaurant in years. I hope they can significantly improve their product and their customer service.

Food is very good. People are super friendly. The big issue is they are very short staffed so things can take a long time to get. They also don’t have a few things on menu as they are basically the only good kosher restaurant so they can’t keep up Nachos are awesome So is the salmon. Need more healthy appetizers as everything os fried.

Wonderful, clean pace. Delicious fresh pizza and an amazing Ceasar Salad with Salmon. If you are ever in Seattle make sure to check them out.

Work on the Island, my co worker were looking for somewhere new to try. There was a line to order, one of the staff said to take a seat and they would come take our order, meanwhile all the people behind us stayed in line ordered food sat down. We waited and waited no one came to take our order. Because we were on a lunch break from work, we just left and had to grab food from Starbucks.Super disappointing.

I wouldn't believe this happened to me except that it did. I came in for a late Sunday lunch, at 2:30 with just one other person. The restaurant appeared half-full and I didn't expect it to be busy. 40 minutes after placing my order, I inquired about the status and was told 10 more minutes. After 20 min, I inquired again and was told that food was taking an average of 1-1.5 hours and that they were extremely busy. After an additional 30 minutes, I asked to speak to the manager and said that it was unacceptable that we were not told the long wait time when we placed the order. He unapologetically told me that I can leave if I want and that he makes the food in the order it is ordered in, but my food would be ready in 5 minutes. So I waited patiently in the front of the store for my food. My food took another 30 minutes to be ready (for a total of 2 hours!!) I sat down to eat and on the second slice of pizza, I found a small light colored hair. (My hair is dark brown and in a hat). I brought it up to the front and requested a refund for my food. The manager came again and said "you put that hair there because you didn't want to pay for the food. We will not give you a refund. People come in with all sorts of things and people eat hair all the time. If you keep bothering us I will call the police. You are making problems because you are mad that you had to wait for your food". At this point, the whole restaurant was quiet and I said again "hair is not hygienic, and it is dirty and I will not pay for this food." I then showed it to a different employee, who said "oh, that is not cheese", and made a face. All he could do was tell me to leave, which I did happily. I will dispute the charge on the credit card. See the hair on the plate next to the pizza.

In a city without a lot of kosher options, Island Crust is a good option for Jewish tourists. The menu has a surprising variety of options (well beyond pizza) and our family of five ordered several. They were all very tasty. The service is terrible; the two servers and one chef were completely overwhelmed by the crowd of sit down diners and those picking up to-go orders.

The pizza here is amazing! It’s also one of the only kosher places to eat. It takes a while to get your order, but worth the long wait.

Thank you island Crust Cafe. Very accommodating, even though we arrived 5 minutes before closing time, they greeted us with a smile. Food was fresh and delicious. Our 2 week vacation started and ended in Seattle. Thank you for this great meal to end our fabulous trip . We highly recommend this cafe .
