Small shop but unique pastries and sandwiches, a lovely Chai tea. Space inside is small for seating, but plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is good. The bathroom is large and well maintained but does not have a changing table, and I didn’t see anything especially helpful for families with young children.

Really enjoy the pastries here. Quite expensive, but maybe that's because it's Mercer Island (e.g., two pastries, a sandwich, and hot chocolate for $33). Great and friendly service. Cute outdoor seating area. Yummy chocolate croissant and orange brioche.

La Fête Pâtisserie Française on Mercer Island offers a special and elevated experience, with a clean, modern French café feel that is both cozy and welcoming. The croissants are consistently praised as perfect, flaky, buttery, and packed full of flavor, with a crispy skin and a well-baked interior. Other offerings like meringue-topped pastries, breakfast pastries, and sandwiches are also delicious, fresh, and of great quality. The coffee is impressive, with one of the best tasting coffees on the island, such as a vanilla latte that is not too sweet.
The space is small and can get crowded, with limited seating and a lack of outlets, making it less ideal for studying. Service can be very slow, as there often seems to be only one person working the coffee machine. However, the service is also noted to be quick at times, and prices are very reasonable. Overall, it is an underrated place where care is put into everything, making it a treat to sit and enjoy, and well worth a visit for a memorable morning or weekend start.
