Went to haps for our first time in almost a year this week and it was delicious! I got the haps burger and my son got a chicken sandwich and we both got fries. Everything tasted so good - we are already planning our next visit! Our shakes were made by Bill, the manager, who was so friendly and helpful - he actually checked on us as we were leaving - we were not expecting such great food and service! Whatever changes they’ve made since we were here last are working!!!!

Haps is the go-to spot for burgers on Mercer Island and it never disappoints! The Haps burger has been my go-to and I prefer it over most of the burgers I’ve ever ate.

Unique, fun, modern burger joint on Mercer Island. Operates out of a repurposed 76 filling station. Life in the island wouldn’t be the same without Haps! Easy, happy, quick dinner for families. Some solid healthy choices if you’re not feeling burger and fries. Beer on tap. Outdoor seating! All compostable packaging. Quite a bit of parking.

Ended up not eating here, so we can't rate the food or atmosphere. You have to place your own order on an ipad, which is fine, except it's very unclear. A milkshake listed on the menu board above the counters wasn't an option on the ipad, neither was the Haps fries. We were planning on getting the Haps burgers, asked a question on how to order from one of the staff (because included toppings listed on the board weren't listed on the ipad), and were told that we needed to add each topping (including the burger patty) on our own, which adds extra charges and would have turned an advertised $10.95 burger into closer to $20...

Edit: unfortunately they switched from Impossible to black bean burger for vegetarian option. That just doesn’t work nearly as well. Lately it’s quite different— now it also comes with barely any fried onions, cheese that’s mostly unmelted, unlike the pic below I took last month :(

The Rainfire burger is amazing. Sub an Impossible patty and it’s one of the best vegetarian burgers around. The flavors are bold and well balanced with savory mushrooms and onion crisps, a little spicy kick from the jalapeños and watercress to keep it refreshing!
