I've had DIY boba tea before and enjoyed it,but unfortunately, this most recent experience was a real letdown. Despite specifically requesting 25% sweetness, the flavor was overwhelmingly sour and bitter, with no sweetness whatsoever. It honestly felt like I was drinking flavorless, colored water rather than a refreshing boba tea.
It's a shame, as I've had good experiences with them in the past. I'm really hoping this was just an off day, and they'll get it right next time. If my next order is as disappointing as this one, it will definitely be my last.
Very yummy boba and I love Thai tea so it’s my go to!
When it comes to food and beverage, I'm a man of fairly low standards. So when I say the tea I received today was inedible, I do not do so lightly. The flavor present in both of these was sour and chemical-y, nothing like anything I have ever tasted in boba, milk, tea, or any other food or drink I've had in my lifetime. This tells me it's probably not DIY's recipe at fault, but something unwelcome or expired got introduced in the preparation. Either way, when Googles AI Review synopsis says the drinks are inconsistent they're not kidding.

Decent bubble tea place in Mill Creek
I order smoothies let that man go. It supposed to have mango chunk, but my order did have any mango chunk. Very disappointed. Maybe they run out of mango.
I'm not happy with today's milk tea at all. There weren't enough pearls, the tea tasted bitter, and the milk flavor was too light—it just wasn't enjoyable.
This place is awesome! I love the fun flavors, great quality, and awesome & friendly service!
Really good place to hangout with friends and family! I enjoy going here and try new drinks and food. Customer service is perfect and all the workers are really nice. Totally recommend this DIY Tea Lab

Love this place. I have never had a bad experience. The Sea salt Ube Milk Tea is fantastic. Always get my drinks with 50% sugar. Still delicious! The Peach Oolong milk tea is also a favorite!
We LOVE DIY yea. The teas are always perfect and the staff is kind and accommodating.
