Best birra tacos (with cheese and red sauce) and fast services. Carne asada taco was also good. We stopped by after waiting in traffic and food was awesome!!! Their red sauce is so good and spicy.

Worst Mexican food I've ever had. It looked ok but the tamale was rock hard and dried out couldn't eat it. The burrito was a sloppy mess the meat was grey and flavorless it looked like they just dumped a can of cat food in a tortilla and barely wrapped it up it tasted disgusting. Even the lime was completely dried out. The birria broth and salsa were very watered down and flavorless. The birria taco was ok just really chewy and on the menu you get 3 but they only give you 1. With as much competition you have in monroe and an actual store front you'd think they'd take it serious but they don't care about quality one bit go somewhere that cares instead.

The best tacos

Better food than you'd expect to find in Washington, so far from the metropolis. Authentic, flavorful Mexican food. The carne asada (on the fries and the tacos) was phenomenal, worth coming back for. Pricing is very competitive, better value for your money than Taco Bell. Chips and salsa were provided for free. We were also offered three very different sauces to choose from, all great.

Authentic Mexican grub. I've only had the super burrito but it's a big sucker, generous portions of meat, etc. I've gotta come back and try some other stuff.

Ordered from here several times in the past month. First off, the portions are generous. The super burrito is generously filled with meat, fries, and rice. The flavor on the asada is spot on, rich and authentic. Let's also not forget the salsa's, both red and green. Packed with flavor making it a perfect addition to the menu.

Value - Generous portions, the super burrito can be a several day meal.

Taste - Authentic flavors, salsa is fantastic.

Taqueria El Rey delivers on both flavor and value. Fantastic spot for Monroe and definitely worth checking out.

Dripped everywhere before we even got a bite in. Weird rules about their toppings. Would skip it.

Nasty. Worst carne asada burrito I've ever tried.
Guess i have to do to Robertos in san diego for something decent.
Maybe the owners should take a vacation... And lessons in decent burritos.

Horrible experience!
Ordered food through Door Dash and they forgot our Tostada, upon calling they requested we come back to get it in person.

After Arriving at the store in person, I said again what my item was and they said it would be right out. After 5 minutes of waiting they bring out a back and tell me have a nice day, only upon getting back to my house I realized they had just given be a platter of beans. Not the item I ordered and they forgot, just a box of Beans.

And upon eating the food it was Mediocre at best. Truly Disappointing, there are so many better Mexican joints in town which you should go to before this one.

It it a very good and delicious place to eat even though I just came here because it was the only Mexican store around where I was going to but still a very good place to eat.
