There's alot of people in just a tiny area and when the dinner rush hits it is so noisy from people talking that if you already have a hearing problem then you might as well just eat and not try to talk to each other.

Got the filet and baked potatoes and salad! Food was good besides getting my dinner before the salad. The bar was not busy maybe a total of 6 customers including myself and friend but the service wasn’t good no sense of urgency waiting 15 minutes for drinks no water given unless asked and seemed the workers were more worried about conversation with each other and not attending to guest. They were all friendly just not great service is all.

Excellent steak!!!! My wife and I very much enjoyed it. Price was a little higher than expected, but the quality of food matched that. Would recommend.

Will start with the positive, BEST baked potato I have EVER had. Would buy one every single day if I could. Love the seasoning on the outside and it was baked perfectly. I ordered it “loaded” and they put the fixings on the side, which is nice because you can put on what you like, but I was literally given 5 tiny shreds of cheese. Literally, I counted them. Other than that the potato was magnificent! The waitress was friendly & quick. We had the rib eye steak which was, unfortunately, disappointing. I ordered it med-rare and it came med-well. Very thin. Lots of fat. Not worth the price. Veggies were good, but nothing special. I’ve had the veggies there in the past and they were MUCH better. Overall, if it wasn’t for that baked potato I would have given a one or two star. Having said that, I’ve eaten here many many times and have ALWAYS enjoyed the food, so this time was just disappointing.

We just left this restaurant. It is always a hit or miss. Tonight was an absolute miss. After being served our food, the waitress came back only one time. I asked for hot aus jus to cook my undercooked steak and heat it up. I waited 25 mins for her to check on us after serving the food. She said she would come back to check how our steaks were when she dropped them off, and then the 25 min wait. My husband was only served 1 glass of water, and as the waitress took our payment, she asked if he wanted more. During this whole time, she went to all the tables around us multiple times. The service and food were an absolute disaster.

The food has always been good, the service is good. I used to frequent this place as a traveler to the area 4-5 nights per week. However about a year ago they started getting a little greedy. Raised prices, started serving kettle chips with sandwiches and up-charging for fries, etc (seriously, up-charging for fries is like a hotel charging for WiFi. Just don’t). I switched to Michael’s On The Lake for my regular go-to and the food quality and service between the two is comparable, but the reason I don’t go to Porterhouse anymore is I’m just a bit turned off by their willingness to pass their penny-pinching on to the customer.

This is a decent family friendly steakhouse. We would come here whenever we wanted a filet mignon since they seem to know how to cook those perfectly. The ribeyes were a different story though from what my co-workers said. The ribeyes were thin and over done. We sat at the bar and the service was good. There were lots of servers in the restaurant all moving quickly as they attended to their tables.

Nice staff, priced appropriately for the food. It is loud during peak hours.
