Love the cookies! Whenever I am in Mt. Vernon I like to treat myself to one of the big cream filled cookies. I am glad the bakery has gotten better organized since relocating from the Bistro space.

Shambala Bakery has the best gluten free bread I have found! Both the sourdough and herbed sourdough are fantastic. I’m excited to try the pizza dough next!

We only experienced the bakery side of the business and enjoyed the vegan options. The bagels and pastries are delicious!

The goodies that brightened our Christmas Day and beyond are amazing....but pale in comparison to the sweet, generous and caring owner Nancy, who went completely out of her way to personally deliver her wares to me on 12/23...as if she already knew me! She sure does now, and I am so glad!!
I can't stress how much my daughter and l plan to continue our relationship with this wonderful group, food for sure, friendship & more!
Love to Nancy, her family and staff

Born and raised in the south, so my expectations for baked goods are high. My partner is gluten and dairy intolerant and she tends to eat alternatives from me to fit her dietary needs.
That being said, I have tried the bread and baked goods from Shambala Bakery and can confidently say these have the taste and texture of majority of regular breads and baked goods. We now just stock the house with her bread so that we never have to worry about anyone's dietary restrictions but also don't have to skimp on quality or taste! What an amazing product!

Fish N’ Chips was good, so was the french toast. Portions were small though.

The bakery was just ok. Most things were dense and dry. A cake slice I had was very dry on one side like it’d been exposed to air for a long time and the frosting was crusty and dry. I had several other bakery items including scones, biscuits, and sourdough bread; more of the same, dry.

Service wasn’t that great. Kinda had a vibe as if the boss wasn’t there so not a lot of attention or effort was put into things.

Of the GF bakeries I’ve been to this one is below average, but still worth checking out to see if you like it.

Dietary restrictions: Waitress said everything is gluten free, soy free, dairy free.

I love this place! So far I've only tried the scone with cream filling, a couple of sandwiches, slaw, fresh fries, and purchased some bagels and pizza crusts to take home and freeze for later. The veggies and sauces are super fresh and I love that they grow some of their own produce etc. Don't go in here expecting "fast food" when ordering a full meal - it does tend to take some time to prepare (more time than other places) but so far it's been worth the wait for me. I'm all about quality and fresh food and this place serves exactly that. If GF is your thing, give them a try!!

Frequent Patrons, we especially enjoy their “allergy” sensitive offerings, particularly the healthy alternative breads. Thank you!

Got a cinnamon roll at the Edmonds market stand. Microwaved it like recommended and it was excellent. Dough was chewy and smooth texture, not at all gritty. Good ratios to cinnamon, not overwhelming.

Dietary restrictions: I've been gluten free since 2001, and this might be the best cinnamon roll I've had.

Stopped here on my wife's Bday to get some Bday desert. We asked lady at counter if they had any cakes or pies and she told us "this may not be the place for you." WTH?!? We ended up buying three cookies @ $3.75 apiece. Those were the hardest & driest cookies I've ever had the displeasure to put in my mouth. Hard pass of this place from here on out.

I am not gluten free, but my significant other is. We’ve been buying Shambala goodies and bread from the Edmonds and Ballard Farmers’ markets for ages and we finally made it into the brick and mortar for lunch today.

Great food, friendly service, and a prime location.

Shambhala is a haven of GF non-gmo options. Their sour dough bread hands down the best GF bread out there. I buy two loaves every time I see them in the Ballard market.
Keep going strong Shambhala!

Dietary restrictions: All their recipes avoid the top ten allergens. So it is super supportive of nearly all restrictions

I’m in heaven Shambala Bakery and Bistro has such an amazing selection of vegan & gluten free dishes. I have an auto immune disease I control by avoiding gluten, dairy, gmo’s, etc. This is an absolute miracle to find this place. Only thing I wish she would do differently is make all the baked treats sweetened with something other than cane sugar such as maple syrup or coconut sugar.
