“If I could give Matthew & “White Branches” 100 stars I would. I come to Washington once a year from NC to see family. Today we were celebrating my Aunts 83rd bday and surprised her with a high tea at White Branches. It feels like a blend of Mad Hatter meets cabaret meets the coolest laid back vintage circus performance. We had the best time. The food and tea was amazing. I was able to have my own vegetarian tier too. We will 1000% be back on our next trip. Thank you for the great hospitality Matthew!!! We are now your #1 fans.”

“We had a wonderful experience when we stopped here for a bite to eat on a rainy Friday afternoon.

They have an extensive menu with several unique burgers and sandwiches, and nearly everything can be modified to be gluten free. Menu items that cannot be made gluten free are clearly marked and there's a dedicated frier for GF fried chicken and french fries. There is a $2 upcharge for gluten free buns/sandwich bread, which I didn't find unreasonable. They also offer gluten free (celiac safe) beers!

Our server was delightful and our food was ready within a few minutes of ordering. We're definitely adding this to our list of favorites!”

It’s a long story, but cider from Cedardale Orchards is what brought us together! Long story short I visited Cedardale a couple years ago while on a car rally, and this amazing girl messaged me wanting some cider since I was up here anyway, well, we are now together and married! So I guess thanks Cedardale Orchards! And to everyone else, go get some cider! It’s 100% worth it!”

My husband and I ordered your Thanksgiving Meal - just for the two of us - and it was one of the best Thanksgiving meals we have ever had. Normally, I order pre-made meals from the larger grocery chains and they have always been adequate, but never spectacular. Yours was just that - spectacular. The flavors were incredible. My husband is very picky about stuffing and he devoured yours. And the portions were perfect. There was enough for the two of us, on Thanksgiving day plus one more serving of leftovers the next day. I admit, we were wary due to the price but I'm glad we took a chance. We will,definitely, be ordering for you again!”

“I just wanted to take a minute to write a review for this place because I consider my self a harsh critic when it comes to BBQ given I've lived in the Deep South for over 10 years. This blows it out of the water in the valley. Wow 😱 first the hospitality was amazing 🙂 super inviting even gave us some free corn bread for being first time customers. I got the cowboy beans and they are to die for 🤤 such a great flavor of beans. The pulled pork sandwich was presented perfect I loved that they don't build your sandwhich for you so your bun doesn't get soggy on the way home. The pulled pork was moist and the sauce was full with flavor. Thank you again for the hospitality and the delicious food i definitely recommend this bbq place in the valley!”

“I used Chapala for my wedding in January 2026. They catered for over 100 people with everything I could want - tacos (pollo y asada), rice, beans, aguas frescas, and toppings for the tacos. They were responsive to email and then as the date got closer, we switched to texting. The total was due a week in advance and was amazingly affordable for the amount of food. The tacos were premade, ready to go in their tortillas, which kept the large line flowing at a good pace. The delivered to the venue in Mount Vernon, with no extra charge. Everyone raved about the food, saying that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. On top of all of that, Chapala staff was so nice through the whole process. I am so happy to have shared my favorite place with all my friends and family on my wedding day.”

“I am now a Jersey Mikes fan for life! I went in and a worker named Grace made my sandwich with care, it was the best food ive put in my mouth in a long time! The whole staff got along so well with eachother and it seems like a great environment! I love seeing staff being friends with one another and smiles on their faces. Its a great place to eat and the lobby is always extremely clean. Never go to the other competitive sandwich shops they dont compare to this jersey mikes!”

“I walked in and stood around waiting for someone to tell me to take a table or wait to be seated. I had to walk up to tbe counter after watching someone working a few moments. She handed me a menu and waived me off to a table. 10 minutes later, she finally came and Ii had to ask for the table to be wiped down. She took my order, bought the drinks, then food, then asked if it was okay and then disappeared. It was 15 minutes after I fiinished that she finally returned. It was a quiet evening, a handful of to go orders and a few tables, most were empty. I left a 33% tip but the service was not worth 1%.”

“It was solid! Service was nice, food was out quick ( we got two entrees, it we left roughly 10 minutes after we ordered), and it was pretty tasty! I got the shrimp and pork combo meal, and it was a lot of food for how much I paid. The only gripe I've got is that the shrimp was a little bland and a little overcooked. Other than that, the rest of the meal was very yummy! Would definitely recommend!”

“Food & service was great. I asked for the Thursday $7 meal: chicken fried steak with gravy, and asked for extra gravy. My chicken fried steak did not have gravy on it. The food would have been rated a 5 had my gravy been on the steak. Thank you!”
