Now I've never had a kouign-amann I didn't like, including theirs, but gotta say they are dinky (for $5)... like a hocky puck but smaller... as if they were made in a muffin pan. Guess I got spoiled from bakeries in SLC. From reading reviews I'll try the danish or the maybe the almond-bostock next time.”

“100% Honesty: The game plan was to stop by and have my husband buy a cookie or something even if we didn’t see anything worth buying. Imagine our surprise when we realized that every single bakery item in there looked and smelled delicious! Everything is very obviously made from scratch. I count and log every single calorie I eat… This place is going to be a problem 😂 The polenta cake was more than I could have expected and the cinnamon rolls were literally the best I have had from a bakery. I normally need the frosting to make up for slightly dry cinnamon rolls. These would have been amazing even without the frosting. So gooey and fresh. You can actually taste the rich cinnamon flavor! They were very friendly and we will be back for sure 👏”

“I’ve been a regular at Cruising Coffee’s Bowhill stand for a while now, and it never disappoints. This is hands-down the best coffee stand in all of Whatcom County. Every single time I stop by, I get an exceptionally well-crafted cup — rich, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and brewed with obvious care and expertise. it’s consistently outstanding.
The service is just as excellent. The girls working there are absolute gems — friendly, upbeat, fast, and genuinely welcoming. They remember regulars, chat while they work, and always make you feel like a valued customer. Their energy and professionalism turn a simple coffee run into a highlight of the day.

“What makes this restaurant is the way they cook their oysters- they were perfect! My friend had the shrimp tacos & also noted the shrimp were delicious.
Unfortunately, the counter gal was busy on her phone & not at all personable. We felt like we put her out when we asked questions about the menu entrees. I asked for water & she pointed to a water jug that had been sitting out for a while. I had to ask for ice & the water was nasty tasting. I asked about iced tea- nope, they were out until next week. We had to ask to turn the music down so we could hear each other talk.
My only other comment was for $20, all I got was 7 oysters…no salad, no other sides. The counter gal offered French fries for an extra dollar.”

“The chicken is crispy and perfect every time. It’s easy to order ahead, just give them a call. My usual order is the original boneless wings and soy garlic boneless wings. The bone in wings are also fried perfectly, if you prefer. Pickled radish as a side is excellent.”

“Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! The service was attentive and friendly, acknowledging us straight away. Our food came out 10 minutes after ordering, and it was hot, fresh, and flavorful. I love that they offer a spice range, as my toddler was eating with us. We tried lamb chili (we chose level 4 spice), chicken mango curry (level 4 spice), and chicken tikka masala (level 1 spice). The level 1 was perfect for my toddler, and we also loved the garlic na'an. For drink, we all tried the mango lemonade. Just wow. If I could rate this place 10 stars, I would.”

“If I could give Matthew & “White Branches” 100 stars I would. I come to Washington once a year from NC to see family. Today we were celebrating my Aunts 83rd bday and surprised her with a high tea at White Branches. It feels like a blend of Mad Hatter meets cabaret meets the coolest laid back vintage circus performance. We had the best time. The food and tea was amazing.
