Came to checkout the Breadfarm pastries as heard they had kouign-amann. Now I've never had a kouign-amann I didn't like, including theirs, but gotta say they are dinky (for $5)... like a hocky puck but smaller... as if they were made in a muffin pan. Guess I got spoiled from bakeries in SLC. From reading reviews I'll try the danish or the maybe the almond-bostock next time.
Had 3 danishes, a miche and rye bread. The danishes do not have enough salt in the dough. So they taste really flat. The miche is not bad. I just prefer more fermentation and more whole wheat. The rye bread is great.
I'm driving from Seattle to Monterrey, California and ChatGPT planned this four day trip, recommended my stopping here for coffee and pastry. It wasn't wrong. I had a breakfast croissant thingy and the drip coffee and I splurged and bought the olive loaf. All I can say is WOW!
