This used to be just the Farmhouse until it was made part of the chain Shawn O'Donnells but it hasn't suffered from the switch. For those not familiar with the La Conner area, the drive out is nicely rural, through farmland. If you go on a Saturday in summer especially, it's lovely, with all the things you'd want to see along the way (antique stores in old barns, fruit stands, fields and fields of produce).  We went here with friends on a Saturday and arrived just after they opened at 11:30. Quite a few tables were already filled. The staff were attentive and efficient even though they were pretty busy. It was nice to see sufficient staff to keep everything moving well in this day of understaffed everything. Our server was Sarah and she did a great job, making sure to swing by several times and keep our water filled. Food was delivered by two other servers so all our (three) meals came together.  The food was excellent and abundant. Two of us split the chicken fried steak breakfast as lunches other than fish and chips (three pieces is almost too much food for one) and burgers aren't ready that early. It was very good. It came with two eggs (we asked for poached hard and they were flawless), an Irish bun (a bit dense and a little dry but that is what they are like) with raspberry jam, wonderfully crispy hash browns (we asked for super crispy and they were). It was almost two much food for each of us even split. The third meal ordered was waffles with a choice of toppings. Our person choice strawberries and cream and it came in a skillet looking like a whole pie. Prices run about 15-20 an item but you definitely get enough and all was very good. The atmosphere is really complete and pleasing. Everything looked clean and new, with nice pub traditional touches like tile entry and pressed tin ceiling. All the staff were friendly and competent. The ladies room was clean and stocked well. They have a WSU Cougar room, complete with a stuffed cougar over the bar. All in all, a great place worth the drive.

Fantastic food superb service! Everything we had was out of this world good. I had the beef stew and my husband had the chicken pot pie. We also had the homemade bread pudding. Bread pudding is my very favorite dessert and this one was one of the best that I have ever had . My husband said the chicken pot pie was very flaky and melted in his mouth. We drove out of the way to go to this restaurant and we’re very glad that we did. If we’re ever back this way again, we will be making a stop for sure.

This was our first time here and it wasn't the best. My boyfriend ordered the shepherd's pie and it was extremely bland, flavorless and you can tell that the veggie mix was from the freezer. I wouldn't recommend it. I ordered the bangers and mash. The most flavorful thing on the plate were the seasonal veggies which were fresh onion, peppers, asparagus, and broccoli. The bangers were bland and I wouldn't recommend that dish either. Overall, these dishes left a lot to be desired. Our server also ignored us pretty much the whole time and gave us our food without utensils. It sucked having to flag him down because he set the food down and immediately ran back off. Not sure if we will return and if we do, the burgers might be a better choice.

Tina took excellent care of us today when we stopped in for lunch. We specifically came in for the Corned Beef & Cabbage lunch for my husband. The meat was tender, the cabbage cooked well and mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy but overall, he felt the plate could have used more flavor. I ordered the Pub Burger, which was excellent with Tillamook cheese and a pretzel bun. We tried the clam chowder as well, and it honestly didn't taste like clam chowder at all being overpowered by the red bell pepper. My family has been visiting the Farmhouse for over 25 years, and honestly, it is missed but I am happy to see some of the same faces, like Tina's, even if the food is not as good as it used to be.

All my families meals were good. I got the corned beef and cabbage and it was not flavorful. Gave it back to the kitchen after three bites. I was still charged for it without a substitution. Not pleased.

A good place to go. Food is consistently good. Happy hour is generous with lots of options. They go way out for St. Patrick's day and the week of. Lots of entertainment and food items.

Great soda bread, great fries, not really too vegan friendly but they do have veggie patties for the burgers

I feel like it's hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good and other times not so much . Same with the service. Sometimes, it's great other times, not so much. I recently had the eggs, Benny, and it was not great. The sauce was broken, and the ham was tough, and the potatoes were crunchy in a bad way, almost gritty.

Love the breakfast here, I'm never near for lunch or the weekend brunch but the hashbrown cassarole is worth alone. The full Irish breakfast is delicious especially the black and white puddings. However it's a lot of food so plan on leaving feeling full.

They have a very delicious veggie patty. Food was good and their ketchup and mustard was just great. Very relaxed and hearty vibe.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian patty that can be used in any burger.

I'm terribly sad and disappointed to find that your bakery goods died when your baker left. No replacement? That Carrot Cake and Chocolate fudge cake was a staple reason to dine here. The food is amazing. Please bring back your cakes.
