Went to Poitiers on the river tonight for the first time great food and out waiter Tony made the experience even better. Highly recommended going and hopefully you can get Tony as your waiter.
All around nice looking place. There was one waiter and our food took over an hour to arrive, and the waiter accidentally overcharged us, stating that the price was wrong in the computer.

If I could have given Service
Negative numbers, I would have!!
So picture this.... It's just me and my daughter, which BTW, rarely happens. We both love seafood, so I find a local place that we can go to. I have never been there so im excited, getting her excited as well. We drive downtown, but I can't seem to find the place. So I call, hoping I can get direction ect. To my surprise, NO ONE ANSWER THE PHONE, MIND U THIS IS 45 MINS BEFORE CLOSE. So, I call again and again. Telling my daughter, no worries, it's supposed to be great food. It will be worth it! NO ONE EVER ANSWERS the phone!!!. Thank u for ruining my mother/daughter dinner. I would suggest you do the bare minimum as a restaurant and....ANSWER YOUR PHONE. What is clear, u dont care or need my business. So please don't waste your time, learn from my experience. They dont care!!! Please see my other reviews and suggestions for great local food spots.

Food was nothing crazy taste wise, however the pricing was unreasonable. $110 dollars for some mediocre hush puppies and soggy fried pickles. The Louisiana catfish was wet and the breading fell off immediately. My dad said that he was surprised by the price when the food was super bland and boring. Only thing I enjoyed was the fries and dips.
The location saves this place, sitting outside was very nice and the river is a nice touch. Staff was kind and quick.

Service and atmosphere was great! But the food was not flavorful at all, especially for a Cajun restaurant. You could buy boxed red beans and rice with more flavor than the one on their menu. Same with the jambalaya. The people in my party who had the po' boys enjoyed them. Maybe just stay away from the rice dishes if you go.

If you like Cajun food, and country music, this would be a top tier restaurant. Lots of unusual menu items.

Really a very space with good food and a very attentive staff. It's a little crazy getting to the place in your car and parking was a little tricky but we plan on going back whenever we are in the area.
There is this pretty cool niche space with a fireplace that looks like a great spot to just chill, have a beverage and casual conversation. The evening we were there they had live music which consumed the spot I'm talking about but it was also a good use of the space
Unisex restrooms are the only option and I found them to be very clean and well appointed.
One final good note is they actually had Woodford Reserve Double Oak Bourbon when I asked for my favorite drink....an Old Fashion. I have to admit it was not the best OF I've had and almost off enough that I almost sent it back but heck. Waste not want not, right!

The Jambalaya takes 35 minutes - okay, the rice wasn't fully cooked, luckily my husband didn't notice. The catfish is supposedly fresh...it is just too soft though...yes, seafood is temperamental. The Sazerac is perfect and delicious - absinth forward! Poirier's is on the right track! Great to have live music and lots of reservations!

Awful tasteless food, everything is over seasoned or under seasoned tasteless, nothing like real Cajun food AT ALL. Huge disappointment. Need to redo their entire taste and menu and go to the south to learn. Also way overpriced for bad food

Stopped in here on a drive back to Seattle from Vancouver for a few glasses of wine. The ambiance was decent -- the patio seating was great on a nice night. The wine was good, but overpriced. We got served red wine in 3 different types of glasses which was odd. Never got asked for water. The biggest issue was service -- our server Shonda was short, abrupt, and rude. Before they closed, she very rudely asked us to close out and slammed the bill on our table. We continued to finish our wine, but Shonda came up and abruptly asked "so do you have a card to put down?". It left a terrible taste for an otherwise decent spot.

Deliciousness! Fried oysters are fresh, burgers and their style of fries are amazing, collard greens are tender, drinks are strong. Atmosphere is chill and the staff is friendly. Awesome spot to sit back and relax inside or outside.

4 fat adults had a no holds tasting menu, self driven, everything was wonderful coming out of the kitchen. Adam, the waiter, was one of the best I've ever had. $250 spent no alcohol consumption.

I really want to give this place a 3.75 as there were parts of it that were amazingly delicious and other parts that were not as good. Let's start with amazing! The fried pickles, french fries, and pear vingrette were flavorful, inventive, and delightful! The bourbon pecan bread pudding was perhaps the best dessert I had ever tasted in my entire life! This is a must order. Unfortunatley the entrees were blan in flavor and disappointing. I had the blackened cod sandwich which had tender fish but was lacking in flavor and not appetizing. My husband ordered the Catfish and fries which he said was tender but rather blan and lacking that cajun oomph he had experienced in the south. This would be the perfect spot for appetizers and a beer or dessert after a show. All in all it was worth the visit but I will probably order differently next time.
