Great food, big portions, wonderfully attentive service.
Top notch customer service. Shrimp fajitas were so delicious! The veggies and shrimp had so much flavor. Ingredients were fresh. We will be back!

Loved this place. It's well decorated and feels cozy. The food was excellent and fresh. This is my go-to place for mexican food in Lynnwood
Very well-run joint in Mountlake Terrace. I got takeout and had good food at a good price, but from what I saw from my time waiting there, it looks like they excel at sit-down service.

Had heard about this place multiple times, but hadn’t tried it till last week. I have to say it was very underwhelming. The food was expensive for the amount you get. The salsa was watery and the chips basically like Tostitos. It’s safe to say I’ll stick with other choices. Azuls is worth it just for the salsa and chips.

The staff were very hospitable and inviting. The food was delicious and the portions were good for the price. It was clean inside, the decorations were nice and they were playing Spanish music throughout the restaurant.

This is hands down the best place! We moved out of the area but make the travel to come back. If you are looking for tacos and margaritas, or the most authentic food look no further! Everyone feels welcomed and at home. Food is out of this world! Go check them out you won’t be disappointed!

I've enjoyed everything I've ordered at Las Espuelas, and the staff are always welcoming, tentative, and very nice. It's earned my loyalty as one of the best Mexican restaurants in Washington, and they offer a couple other dishes of Caribbean, Central, and South American cuisine. The atmosphere is so nice with decorations, and it's normally quiet making it ideal for dinner dates. Another comment talks about how it quietly wins your loyalty and I think that perfectly wraps up my thoughts on Las Espuelas.

Las Espuelas (4306 228th St SW)
This casa at Cedar Plaza has been here for many years. It’s family-friendly, happy, and welcoming.
When my wife and I came for dinner, almost all the tables were taken. We sat down and immediately ordered the house margarita and shared a plate of steak fajitas.
While waiting, I looked around to soak everything in.
There were two saddles nestled on the ceiling beams. The walls were adorned with paintings of cowboys and horses and dusty trails. In fact, “Las Espuelas” means “the spurs” in Spanish, a nod to Western life.
Music played in the background. I knew not one word of what the singers were singing, but I could tell by the plaintive melody that they spoke of love and life in the most emotional tones. A busser said what I was hearing was ranchera music. I learned something new today.
I spotted a toddler in a high chair saying, “Mingo! Mingo!” Pretty soon, the owner of the restaurant, named Domingo, came moseying down the aisle. A silver-haired man with broad shoulders and a stern visage, Domingo doesn’t look like the type of guy anyone would mess around with. But when he reached the toddler, Domingo bent down, smiled at the child, and made a funny noise like an airplane swooping down. The toddler roared with delight.
When our drink arrived, it was tremendous. My wife said, “Goodness gracious, this thing weighs like five pounds!” I took a few sips for the sake of experiencing the moment. I took a few more sips because it was darn good.
The steak fajitas came sizzling on a plate. The roasted onions and bell peppers were perfectly matched with the smoky loveliness of the thin cuts of beef.
After a couple of servings, I said I’d had enough. But I had a couple more afterward.
We vowed not to take home a doggy bag, and we accomplished that goal.
When it was time to leave, there was a line at the front. This place is popular.
If you want to come here, better saddle up early. Mingo will be waiting.
