Calvin’s Crab House Reviews
Wonderful meal!! Woman at counter was nice and friendly!!!
We came in to celebrate my partner's birthday, he ordered the crab and fries, I ordered prawns and fries, and we ordered a bowl of chowder to share. The good: My prawns were cooked perfectly, his crab was tasty, and the tartar was was delicious. The bad: The fries were meh, not at all crispy, and they were dark like the oil was getting old. The ugly: The "chowder" was bland broth with overcooked onion and celery (I think, it was both but they were mush), chunks of potato, and...read full review

Calvin's Crab House is a restaurant that offers a variety of seafood dishes, featuring a simple menu with fish and chips, chowder, and chicken strips. It is known for its delicious food, with highlights such as crab bisque, clam chowder, seasonal crab, halibut and chips, and homemade cookies and pastries. Customers frequently praise the halibut for being fresh, tender, and coated in a light crispy batter, while the fish portions are noted for being good and firm, though some find them a bit small. The chips are well-cooked, and fresh-cut French fries are a favorite. The baked goods, especially the cinnamon rolls and rocky road fudge, receive high recommendations. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the bay, with no indoor seating and limited outdoor seating featuring picnic benches and Adirondack chairs. Guests can relax while watching bald eagles and savoring their meals. The coffee selection is extensive, with unlimited flavors to mix and match, making it a great spot for breakfast or a snack. While traditional clam chowder received mixed reviews, the crab and salmon were well-received, with the salmon often served with a fresh salad instead of chips. Overall, Calvin's Crab House is a charming family-run establishment located right on the water in Cape Flattery, where friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere enhance the dining experience.
