The food is delicious, (they've got great meatloaf) prices were reasonable and the staff attentive to more than just their phones. More important is that it's still got that homemade hanging out with friends type of feel there.** These days you see less and less of great places like this as they're chased out by big box name chains. (The type where the food all tastes the same, you don't get to ask for substitutions, you don't expect friendly conversations and the waitstaff that sees their job as done the moment you get your food but still wants a large tip.)
