Sadly, we never got to eat. The man playing live music was using an amplifier inside a very small space and the hostess had to scream a foot away from our ears just to inform us that it would be an hour wait. That poor harried looking girl will have permanent sensorineural hearing loss. We left as quickly as we could, which is such a shame because we LOVE celtic music, it's the whole reason we went!

Galway always offers solid, Irish/Scottish food. They also have some burgers, but I haven’t ever ordered them. My favorite is the Forfer Birdie, but others enjoy the Pasty’s and Shepherd’s Pie. The colcannon is relatively unseasoned, but that seems typical for the region. The soda bread is fresh and a great starter. This is Ocean Shores, and nothing moves quickly. The food makes it worthwhile, but pack patience.
Awesome place! Food and service were both great. Food was priced well for portion size and quality. Even had a piano player performing while I enjoyed my meal. Atmosphere was immediately comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Prices are on the higher side for the average-tasting food, but the good gravy and dishes like colcannon, made of potatoes and cabbages, are enjoyable, though the colcannon could use more cabbage for a better balance. Overall, Galway Bay offers a fun, inviting atmosphere with lots to explore, making it a great spot for dinner, drinks, or both. The ambiance is praised, and live music, like a talented pianist, adds to the enjoyable experience. Visitors can also enjoy hearty Irish Breakfast or a cold beer, with a reminder to call ahead for fish and chips as they often sell out quickly.
