Las Maracas Mexican Restaurant

A little place by the coast. Service is quick and friendly, the chips are good and the salsa's got just the right amount of bite for my tastes. The chips and the refried beans were clearly made in-house; the beans were, unfortunately, watery. As with other Mexican restaurants hereabouts, the rest of the food was very bland. I enjoyed myself, but I have to be honest here - there's a reason for only three stars.

The first thing you see here is the cranky old man at the desk inside the door. I don't know if he had just had a long busy day or if he is always rude and abrupt but it wasn't a great introduction to wanting so spend money here. I don't have a problem wearing masks in public but the snarky way he demanded to know if we were all fully vaccinated or we could leave was frankly a violation of privacy on top of being rude.The waitresses are the ONLY good part of this dining experience....read full review

Didn't feel welcome - staff not particularly welcoming. Felt more like an unexpected guest. There was no soda pop due to a delivery problem. The chips and salsa were complimentary, but also very stale. I requested one each of chicken and beef for my 2 chimichanga meal, and the server responded that, all seriousness, "We'll, today we could probably do that". Really? Chimicangas we're just OK.
