Evergreen Cafe and Gyros

I have been here once before and really liked it. I ordered 2 platters and they were significantly smaller than the time I came before. The rice was also bordering on cold. I'm eating it, but also hoping I don't have food poisoning in my future. Won't be eating here again. Maybe just go early though. I went just before closing.

We've probably driven by this place a hundred times and remarked we should give them a try.

Well we finally did and we're kicking ourselves we didn't stop in sooner!

I tried the falafel gyro, my partner had the chicken rice bowl, and our daughter had the lamb salad. All were amazing, and the falafel was some of the best I've ever had. Spiced perfectly and not bone dry like I usually come across. Just wonderful.

We also got the baba ganoush, which had the wonderful smokey flavor you get from real grilled eggplant, and the loaded garlic fries which were incredible as well.

Evergreen Gyros has definitely made it into our regular rotation now.

The interior was really nice — lots of green and wood tones that felt very Pacific Northwest. Cozy and local in a good way.

We ordered two gyros and fries. Normally, I go for lamb and my husband prefers chicken. But I was really disappointed to find out that the lamb wasn’t sliced meat like you’d expect — it was more like meatballs or mini patties inside the gyro. I personally really dislike that texture and style. When I order a gyro, I expect shaved or sliced meat, not ground-up meat formed into little burger shapes.

So in the end, we just swapped — my husband ate the lamb “meatball gyro” and I had his chicken one, which thankfully was more traditional.

The food wasn’t bad overall, but the lamb presentation felt very off for what I was expecting from a gyro. If you’re not picky about that — it might be fine. But for me, it really ruined the experience.

I got Greek Fries and while the fries themselves were good there was barely any sauce, then in the gyro I found a bug 🤢

Just had the salad plate with double lamb—no rice, no pita, no junk. Honestly, one of the cleanest and tastiest meals I’ve had eating out. The lamb was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and loaded with flavor. Veggies were fresh and crisp. Even without the carbs, the plate was filling and satisfying. Perfect spot for anyone doing low-carb, high-protein, or clean eating. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Kinda expensive for what you get. Gyro was mostly vegetables and the 7 dollar fries were a particularly small serving.

Very tasty!

This was my first time eating here and I was not impressed. I love Mediterranean food and this was not it at all! The loaded fries I got lacked flavor and so did the chicken shawarma. Highly disappointed for wasting my money but lesson learned.

The food is amazing but they rarely answer when I call to place an order, and usually the wait time is 1+ hours.
