“Bacco is everything you hope for in an Italian restaurant! We were lucky enough to squeeze in a last minute reservation and felt the warm embrace of the other diners, The Owner, sous chefs, and the service team! Julia helped us through ordering and wine selection without missing a beat on keeping our orders aligned with timing her attendance perfectly with the next part of our meal. The food was fresh, flavorful and with perfect texture! From appetizer to dessert, from a Tuesday, to a Saturday, call ahead as you are in for such a treat!
Thank you for the Best Italian stateside!”
“The food was phenomenal and the service exemplary. Alex was very attentive and a great server. The entire staff was very welcoming. I highly recommend Gardner’s.”

“The fish is amazing and well prepared. I tried 14 different nagiri and all were excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I have never given 5 stars before...until now.”

“I absolutely love this place! The food is always delicious and the service is wonderful. Extra shout-out to Amanda who had our table on the night of the luminary procession. The place was super busy (of course) but Amanda made us feel like VIPs. Thank you so much for your attentiveness and letting us know about future events.”
“Perfect place for a romatic dinner or drinks out with friends. Live guitar music set the mood, we loved our wine flights and the food was fantastic! Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and great view!”
“Just got back from dinner here. I honestly don't remember the last time I wrote a review for a restaurant. If you are looking for a great restaurant in Olympia for Pizza or other Italian fare, give this place a try. Kyle was our server and he deserves all the accolades in the world for taking care of our table of 7 tonight. Great place and an amazing outing!”

“Fifth on Fourth is an absolute gem! This small, family-owned sandwich shop serves up delicious, fresh food at very reasonable prices. But what really sets them apart is the kindness and energy of the people behind the counter. No matter how busy they are, they greet every customer with a smile and genuine warmth. Even my 11-year-old niece noticed how friendly they are—especially impressive when the place is swamped! It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel welcome every single time. We’ll definitely be back again and again!”
“Bought a bag of Morning Sun whole beans. Package says it's a darker roast. Darker than what? Water? We tried it three mornings in a row. With no other whole beans in the house, I had to switch to instant coffee. Morning Sun is NOT a dark roast. Sorry to say I was very disappointed.”
“I stopped by this espresso stand on a whim, and I’m so glad I did! The barista was absolutely amazing—friendly, upbeat, and just overall fantastic. She made my drink perfectly; it was one of the best espresso drinks I’ve had in a long time—smooth, flavorful, and just the right balance. Great service, great coffee, and a great vibe. I’ll definitely be back!”
“Might just be the largest selection of Mead from the Northwest. Featuring over 8 Local Meaderies and 30+ flavors to choose from. Live Music and Events. They also do flight pours and bottles to-go!!”
“Excellent chips and salsa, delicious gordo burritos, seafood enchiladas, and a variety of Latin fare, friendly attentive service, fun authentic vibe, and one of the last restaurants open past 900 pm. Recommended!”

“Food A+ perfectly cooked generous 12oz NY steak & Blackened rockfish! Flavor excellent on all sides. Server A+, this was our first visit and Victoria helped with all our questions like family. After ordering the wait for food was long but we were in no hurry. It would have been nice to have something to nibble on. We hadn’t expected the wait so we didn’t order bread or salad, everything is extra. The place could use something acoustic to cut the noise a notch, simply voices overwhelm the place. Music from the venue next door wasn’t a distraction, it was fine. Parking can be difficult. All in all, we will be back for the A+ parts make it way worth the visit.”
“This was my first visit, definitely not my last. I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich with a cup of the loaded baked potato soup, delicious! Sooo nice being able to dine out knowing I’m able to eat anything on the menu…gluten free! Staff is friendly & the atmosphere is cozy!”
“We always sit in the bar and we always receive great service. I want to call out that Matt handled a really rude customer on 12/2/24 with calmness and kindness. There was a mixup regarding checks with the neighboring table and she had her salad comped, but she didn't understand why. He explained multiple times (who complains that their meal is being comped???!) until he finally said he needed to keep moving to help other diners, and her dining partner actually raised her voice and cursed at him. He should be commended. Our meal was fantastic, steak cooked perfectly, service quick, and sides all correct and accounted for.”
“I was there last night with friends! We sat in the vault😉 It was private and fun ! Sam, our waiter was efficient and friendly …the drinks were very tasty too 😍”

“the owls nest (Owl House as my brain likes to remember it) has wonderful pastries and food options. their drinks are balanced and well made. the atmosphere matches the Olympia vibe really well and I feel very comfortable here. it's not too loud, but it's not so quiet that I feel like everyone can hear me talking with my friends either. great cafe to sit and talk or do my own thing at.”

“Everything here — everything — is divine and fabulous even for those who aren’t strictly vegan. I’m prompted to write today because I got one of my favorites to go two days ago — the bagel and “lox” — and had the first half yesterday and the second today. Incredibly still delicious after two days in the fridge. Kudos to you all.💕”

“Lovely selection of wines for tasting. A bit pricey, a good selection of local wines. Not shabby on the international selection. Sign up to receive alerts for events in store. Good end to the day, sipping wine, interacting, and listening to live music.”

“I met with someone today who wanted to learn about spinning on a spinning wheel I had for sale. I had never been to this shop, but we wanted to meet halfway between us, preferably at a locally owned coffee shop. We had a wonderful time, and the coffee was wonderful! And best of all, I found out after we were finished there are gluten-free treats!! I made a new friend today, and we hope to meet once a month. We would love to make this little shop a regular meeting point.”
“Today was our first time here. Our waiter who was a tall man with a beard and mustache wasn't rude, but he acted like we offended him somehow. He was nice at first, but then acted like he just wanted us to hurry up and leave. He was nice to everyone else sitting around us. I wish I knew what we did. He didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. Besides him, the restaurant was clean and relaxing. The food was delicious. We'll come back, and hopefully our waiter will have a better experience with us.”
“Best bagel in town! Always getting the lox bagel! The area is open and has seating agains the walls. It could use some noise dampening items. Sat with a friend for coffee and gossip, and it felt like the whole room could hear our convo even we were talking quietly. The pastries are great as well! Oh, and they make coffee! Good non burnt coffee!”

“This tavern is a gem. The food is cooked with care and you can tell when you get it. The brussel sprouts are a huge hit at any time. I tried a "special" called the CodFather yesterday with a hand battered piece of cod, topped with fresh sliced pastrami and some cheese on a slathering of coleslaw on a bun. It absolutely works!”
“Service was amazing our waiter maiyu (I do not know how to spell her name properly I apologize was very sweet and helpful, our food was amazing, atmosphere was perfect, and all around I will be coming back asap”

“Seriously the BEST Mexican food ever. We’ve been several times and every single thing we get is phenomenal. Every ingredient is fresh and flavorful on its own and all together is absolute perfection. Great service as well. 100000 stars and such a treat to our area.”
“The BEST coffee and food!! I’m really picky about my coffee and they have the best tasting coffee and they also roast their coffee beans in house which I LOVE! They have the best breakfast sandwiches and burritos as well! And make everything in house and it’s actually healthy. And to top it off they have the best people that work there and amazing customer service! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!! ♥️”
“The plates are way too small. My food was falling off my plate and onto the table. I looked around, and most people had the same problem. Why would they use such small plates and have your food falling on the table? Other than that the food is great, but you lose a lot on to the table. Service was also a little slow.”
“I always make it a point to go to Row when in town on business. Staff is always good and so is the food. But, today was different. Long day at work for an audit. I had a raging headache. Sat at the bar, ordered a dirty martini from Tyler. He did the usual follow up. I told him, long day, just chilling, keep the glass full, and I’ll let you know the rest. He understood the assignment. For that, he gets a gold star. Thanks again.”
“where should I begin..at first the service was great then we stepped outside and our food which we were not done with was gone then brought back all stacked which the original server stated he make it right but nothing was done to make the situation right shows how much they care about their customers..hummmm..service after that was terrible..also noticed alot of favoritism on regular customers..won't be back any time soon.”
“Great place, to drop in and order food to go or stay. Everyone was friendly, food and drink are awsome. I ordered to go, the best fish Tacos I've had in ages.”
“It’s The best Mexican food in town, friendly people and good location too.”
“Sometimes appetizers upstate the main dish - the honey chicken wings were SO good. Don't miss out on the Vietnamese Coffee and the Mochi doughnuts. The main dishes like Pad Thai and Heavenly Beef were good too just that other stuff was incredible.”
“delicious food, bartender was immaculate... delicious white whiskey margarita 10/10”
“Just amazing! You know I have been tight on my eat out budget but a trip here for my mother’s birthday was worth it! The salmon was amazing and will be coming back soon!”
“We went yesterday for lunch. sat in the bar and had the best service and the food was amazing. We ordered the King crab boil, steamed clams, cup of chowder and oyster shooters. I didn't get our bartender/servers name but her mom was a treat to meet too. By far, the best time I've had there.”
“Had great food and a good time until we got our bills. Didn’t realize there was a 18% automatic gratuity added for large groups which is fine but they don’t give you a receipt so you end up giving an extra tip on top of the one already had on the bill. Some of our group questioned this to the server and only then did he admit there was a gratuity added. To me this is deceptive and spoiled the nice experience.”
“There's only one El Sarape left in town so we decided to try it. It is not only freshened up outside, it is beautiful inside. The menu is not as extensive as it once was but the food was excellent. Kevin had the Carne Asada Fries and I had Chicken Nachos. UPDATE when I saw the menu I thought "oh, another El Sarape gone modern like the one that used to be on Capitol in Tumwater" But this was different, both the interior and the food still had that mexican food appeal...in an upscale way. The salsa was not saturated with store bought hot sauce or taste tinny like canned tomatoes. And the food was fresh and tasty and did not need to be smothered with salsa for flavor. And for dessert we had the churro with ice cream. And again, I was impressed! I'm pretty sure the ice cream was home made, along with the warm crispy churro, so tender. Then there was the small amount of caramel sauce. We didn't need more, it was rich and thick and creamy and tasted of rum. To top it all off, the bill was less than $60. Now that's hard to find these days, especially with quality food. And the staff was warm and friendly.”
“The place is great. Their pizza is awesome. They even have like 6 or 7 pinball machines including Starwars. I absolutely love the food! I have to be honest though 25 bucks for a pitcher is a bit steep but it is what it is. Overall great though.”
“Fresh ingredients, friendly staff. Amazing food with attention to detail and presentation. 😁Next best thing to being in Italy.”
“Very neat little place to enjoy a glass of wine or even a canned Rainier. The bartender Lindsey is always so nice and creates a great atmosphere. Music is top notch!”
“We tend to place orders online for pick-up and have been helped the last 3 times by Haley. HALEY IS AMAZING! I just witnessed her take a large order by an indecisive group with a growing line of people walking in. I was so impressed by her patience, kindness, speed, and positive attitude. She handled the stress with a big smile and thanked the waiting customers. Way to go Haley!”
“Hoy acudí al restaurante por primera ves quedé fascinado el servicio excelente y sin contratiempos a pesar de estar lleno en su totalidad,la comida muy rica el personal pasear del cupo lleno se esforzaron y quedaron a la altura del servicio que ofrecen, las bebidas de lo mejor que eh probado, muy recomendable 100% calidad y atención de lo mejor”
“I had my first solo lunch experience at Budd Bay Cafe, located right along the boardwalk at Percival Landing Park. The setting is beautiful, with peaceful waterfront views and a steady flow of people enjoying a walk along the boardwalk with their families and pets. Sitting by the window with the sunlight reflecting off the bay created a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. For my meal, I ordered the Panko Style Pacific Cod platter, which was recommended by my waitress since catfish was unavailable. It was served with french fries, coleslaw, and sides of ketchup and tartar sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—with great flavor throughout. Everything on the plate was fresh and well-prepared. I also asked for a drink that was sweet with a hint of sour, and the waitress suggested one of their signature cocktails made with strawberry vodka, triple sec, sweet and sour, Starry, and strawberry purée, served in a pink glass. It was refreshing, balanced, and complemented the meal nicely. The service was attentive and thoughtful. My waitress made helpful recommendations and ensured I was comfortable throughout my visit, which I especially appreciated as someone new to the area and dining alone. Although I considered dessert, I was completely satisfied by the end of my meal. Overall, this was a very pleasant first dining experience in Olympia. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for good food, a calm atmosphere, and a lovely waterfront view.”
“I have lived in the area a long time, but never have had the opportunity till tonight, Valentine's Day, to try this amazing little eatery. Not gonna lie, this place was packed and seemed crazy, but we had a reservation and was seated promptly. Our server, Natalie, was friendly and attentive. The food was over the top good. Seafood cooked perfect, pasta cooked perfect, and good bread to soak up the great sauces. This restaurant is a new favorite for me!”
“This is my favorite place to eat. Great food, great service. Price is right. Lots of yummy food cooked to your liking. Definitely recommend going.”
“Visited on St. Patrick's Day for lunch. Good value and good grub. No complaints. The atmosphere was friendly. I am glad I spent my time here due to the good location and excellent service.”
“My wife and I had dinner at the Martin Way Red Lobster yesterday. It was by far the best dinner and overall experience we have ever had at Red Lobster. We live about half way between Olympia and Longview, due to traffic we usually go to the Longview Red Lobster. We have had many "ok" dinners at Longview. Yesterday we went to Olympia. The service was great and the food was perfect. The last month has been a rough one and we needed a good night out to relax. It could not have been better, Thank you. (P.S. I did not get our waitresses name, But I am fairly certain she is the tallest waitress you have there. She is great at her job. Thank you again.) 👍👍👍”
“Yo was Amazing! He took excellent care of my family and we absolutely enjoyed his energy! He went above and beyond answering questions and paying extra attention to details with our needs. He was very efficient and very out going at the same time. We will definetly be asking for him again when we return.”
“Great selection of 3Mag and guest beers. Highly rated NA beers. Friendly place. As of 1/23, snacks but bring your own food. Also frequent popup food service. Check their Facebook page.”
“It was our 35th anniversary. We were looking to eat some place new and different. After reading all the reviews we were skeptical but decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Service was great. Melissa was pleasant and fast service. Our food was amazing. Husband had stuffed prawns I had chicken. Drinks were good. I’m so glad we went. We will definitely be going back!!”
“Loaded potato was the best one I've ever had, I will be back for more 😋 very friendly , clean, and comfy place to get some lunch. Also checking out their new beef tallow they have now.”

“What you (can't) blame Red Robin for is how busy they are! Well price; but $1 garbage is still garbage. I love the Endless Fries and yes sometimes you have to wait. It would take a Fryer the size of a twin bed to never wait. Service has been awesome so far. Going back Sunday.”

“We do girls nights at West Side El Sarape on a monthly basis. Last night, the chicken was dry in the fajita salad that I ordered. Definitely over priced for a typical salad and some chicken. My bill was $61 after ordering 1 drink, fajita salad and to hold off on the order to go, fajita quesadilla. Instead, she brought it to the table a good hour before we left and said its still warm. She never asked if I was ready to have it made or even leave. When I got home, the to go order was not what I requested, instead, fajitas. Very over priced and disappointed. Did price changes happen on the menu that do not reflect online menu?”
“I worked at Eagan's at Tumwater Square from 1969-1971 during high school. I look back and realize that Tom Eagan was one of the best bosses I had. Even though I lived out of the area, my children all loved to stop for an Eagan's burger. To this day they uphold the high standards originally established by Loretta Eagan in the 1960s”

“Just finished eating dinner here with my family. Overall experience was excellent!! The food was delicious, the shakes were amazing and our waitress was absolutely awesome!! If you're looking for a nice homey restaurant with great american food and excellent service, this is the place to go. My new favorite!!”
“I have eaten at Halyards Cafe 4 times now, I keep coming back because the food is that good. All hand made breads, buns, chips and sauces. The smash burger and yard chicken sandwich were amazing. If you want all homemade food wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection give Halyards a try. Open Thursday thru Sunday; eclectic nautical decor with a cool vibe.”

“OMG...cookie heaven!! Tried for the first time. Peppermint ice cream cookie. Soooo delicious!! Possibly the best cookie I've ever had. Soft cookie, amazing buttercream frosting, best flavors, and large size too. Can easily split with someone and still be totally satisfied. Great store- easy to order, and quick service. Really fun place, and YUMMY!! =D”
“There are places you go for coffee…and then there are places that genuinely make your day better. Johnny’s Coffee Co. is one of those places.
One of the first things you notice when you walk in is how welcome you feel. Not the kind of welcome that feels rehearsed, but something real, something human. People look at you, smile, and you can tell they actually care about your experience.
Lately, it feels like many places are just going through the motions. That’s what makes this place stand out. There’s intention here. The baristas take pride in what they do, and you can see it in every drink they make, crafted with care, consistency, and a quiet professionalism.
It’s refreshing to see people take their work seriously without losing the human side of it. There’s kindness in the way they communicate, patience in the way they listen, and authenticity in every interaction. Nothing feels forced.
Very few places manage to balance quality and connection the way this one does. You’re not just getting a great cup of coffee, you’re getting a moment in your day where things slow down just enough to remind you that people still care.
I’ve always believed in supporting family-owned businesses because they tend to be rooted in something deeper than just business. Johnny’s Coffee reflects that completely. It feels like a place built with purpose, where people matter.
And every time I leave, I notice something simple but meaningful, my day feels a little better. That’s not something you can fake or manufacture. That comes from people who choose to show up the right way, every single day.”
“We ate at grand opening day in Olympia location, food was good , fairly fast . The home fries were very good, chicken fried steak was nice and crispy gravy was a meh. Eggs I ordered over med they came w no runny yolk , and absolutely no seasoning, but all and all just opening day issues. They were very busy I’d give it a 3.6 out of 5 my wife’s avocado toast was great , also lacked any seasoning I’d definitely try them again. Our bill for two beverages and two meals was about $50 a little more effort in the kitchen to match the effort in front of house and this place will be dialed…….”
“We went inside for a quick bite. When I say this is the cleanest fast food place I have ever been in I mean it. Even the bathrooms were clean and had big stalls. Our cashier was really nice, food came out fast and was delicious. We will DEFINITELY be back to this location.”
“The Baskin-Robbins store on Harrison is an awesome store except for when the young man is working there. Young man never feels your container full like the young lady. The young lady make sure that all the airs out and gives you a filled container but the guy could care less. With the prices the way they are, I sure think that you should get a full container full of ice cream the money. Very disappointed”
“I have dined here's emerald times now, and havenever been disappointed. I come in hungry, and leave completely satisfied. My husband and I live the fried avocado appetizer!”
