The staff was very conscientious asking questions about any allergies (spouse has seafood allergy) and to what degree. They were very helpful with suggestions. My crab and prawn ravioli was fabulous! My spouse thought the steak was cooked well but could have been a better cut of meat. We wished we would have come in a little later to listen to the jazz.

Based on the reviews, Basilico | Ristorante Italiano is described as Olympia's best kept secret, offering absolutely incredible Italian food that is authentic as authentic can get. The food and service are fantastic, with everything being top-notch. The polo marsala trimmed with potatoes broccoli was done to perfection and rated a 12 out of 10. The lasagna and lasagne are amazing, the risotto is very good, and the ragu is the best from any Italian restaurant along the Puget sound. The gluten-free options were available and delicious, with the gluten-free lemon thyme pasta and gluten-free tiramisu exceeding expectations. The tiramisu was a favorite. The atmosphere is amazing, perfect for date night, cozy, warm, and romantic with live music and candles on the tables. A gentleman playing the guitar to gentle beautiful Italian music made for an incredible experience. The service is wonderful, kind, attentive, and thoughtful, with staff asking about dietary restrictions. The basil martini is delicious. Overall, it is the best Italian restaurant in Thurston County and a five-star rating all the way around.
