“We'd just gotten to town and were too hungry to think about food. This place popped up as being pretty close so we took a chance. READER, were we ever glad we ate here!

The cashier (evening of 8/7/26) kept every table and waiter attended to, I felt like a valued customer though this was the first time I'd been there.

Someone at one of the tables shared a sip of their shake with their family and I kid you not - everybody in the group paused their meal to order a shake for themselves. I knew I was in for something special!

Those experiences were just the start of our joyful first time at Herfy's. Our burgers were delicious, cooked perfectly. Our fries and curly fries were exactly how we like them and the chicken nuggets were great as well. If you are anywhere in Olympia and are a burger fan, there's no excuse not to make it to Herfy's.“

“It was my first time ordering and coming to Vans burger.

Ordered a chocolate milk shake, a burger and two order of fries. The burger was so big that I was able to share it with my daughter.
Shake was in a small cup.
Microphone is a bit old so you hard to speak a little louder and clear for them to capture your order.

Please be nice to the people working here, the time I went it was super busy and someone behind me was being a bit rude to them. The lady at the window who takes the payment is also the same person who is taking down the orders.

“First time trying Uptown Grill today, and it’s no surprise that they’re contenders for (and previous winners of) the Best of South Sound! We tried their salmon fish and chips with sweet potato fries, chicken pot pie, and a couple of their cocktails, and dang it was delicious! They’ve got our votes from here on out in BoSS and we can’t wait to go back!“

“We always sit in the bar and we always receive great service. I want to call out that Matt handled a really rude customer on 12/2/24 with calmness and kindness. There was a mixup regarding checks with the neighboring table and she had her salad comped, but she didn't understand why. He explained multiple times (who complains that their meal is being comped???!) until he finally said he needed to keep moving to help other diners, and her dining partner actually raised her voice and cursed at him. He should be commended. Our meal was fantastic, steak cooked perfectly, service quick, and sides all correct and accounted for.“

“This tavern is a gem. The food is cooked with care and you can tell when you get it. The brussel sprouts are a huge hit at any time. I tried a "special" called the CodFather yesterday with a hand battered piece of cod, topped with fresh sliced pastrami and some cheese on a slathering of coleslaw on a bun. It absolutely works!“

“where should I begin..at first the service was great then we stepped outside and our food which we were not done with was gone then brought back all stacked which the original server stated he make it right but nothing was done to make the situation right shows how much they care about their customers..hummmm..service after that was terrible..also noticed alot of favoritism on regular customers..won't be back any time soon.“

“Food is pretty good, I wish they had more deli sandwich type choices. I had the California chicken salad and instead of avocados I was given guacamole and very small pieces of chicken. Rather expensive for a salad but it is a pleasant atmosphere and the wait staff and manager were very friendly.“

“What you (can't) blame Red Robin for is how busy they are! Well price; but $1 garbage is still garbage. I love the Endless Fries and yes sometimes you have to wait. It would take a Fryer the size of a twin bed to never wait. Service has been awesome so far. Going back Sunday.“

“Very impressed with this Dairy Queen store location. Dairy Queen is a top favorite with my wife and kids so I have been to many locations in MN and WI. I had never been to this location so called to confirm they sold cakes. The customer service on the phone was upbeat and friendly. The service at the store when I arrive was equal to the call (friendly and helpful). While I waited for the cake (very quick) to be personalized, I observed great and efficient service for each customer in line. Great store!! Until next time.“

“I love this 5 guys in Olympia. Everyone is extremely kind and the service is impeccable. They will give you a water cup and free peanuts which is a good touch and shows they truly care about their costumers. The food and quality is so amazing that I go there every time i’m in olympia. Even though I lived out of the area, my children all loved to stop for an Eagan's burger. To this day they uphold the high standards originally established by Loretta Eagan in the 1960s“
