My favorite sushi in Olympia, and one of my favorite restaurants in general. Prices are good, fish is fresh, great selection of rolls. My favorite is the poke roll, simple and delicious. The food always comes out super fast, we order a ton of food between two people and the total is usually about $60-70 (app plus like 5 rolls and sometimes beverages). I love it here so much, it's just a comfortable happy place.

Great food! I Always get the sushi. Sashimi Moriwase is delicious!! And can never pass up ordering a few rolls along with. Has always been really good for the last 24 years of going here. Definitely would recommend!

Best sushi in the area, in my experience, at a very reasonable price. The service is terrific- they heard me drop a chopstick from across the room and got me a new set before I could retrieve it from the floor. I love bringing friends here and sharing several items. The seating area is large and quiet enough you can hear people talk, so it’s a good place to meet to catch up and enjoy a delicious meal.

Look no further...this is the place for you! Koibito is our go to for Japanese food. Not only is it owned and operated by Japanese folks, it has all the flavors that remind me of my childhood. I usually get their combo with udon and tempura. It reminds me of a little restaurant that my mom would take me to in Albany, CA called Sugata's that was taken over by a Chinese family. The art of making the sushi rice is something that an individual in Japan take years and years and years to get right. These arts and disciplines are lost to people wanting to make $$ off a culture, without the training and skills to do it. This place still has it, and if you have a chance to enjoy it before it too changes I would get there as much as you can bc it is simply delightful and amazing.

Amazing service and great food! Our party of seven stayed here for roughly four hours and they stayed on the ball! We all enjoyed a healthy portion of great sashimi, sushi rolls, and their entrees are well proportioned and delicious! We'll definitely be returning to this restaurant!Kid-friendliness: My toddler is very social and the staff was very patient and playful when she decided to explore; including the itamae! The itamae also entertained my ten year old when he asked to see how a Sushi roll was made.Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of room in the back partition of the restaurant for wheelchairs. It is also near the restrooms, which are quite large.

I have been a customer of Koibito Sushi on Harrison for over 20 years - no, this is not an exaggeration. They know me when I come in. I've even brought in my group of coworkers for 2 birthday lunches. I left a 5 star review many years ago and now I'm back for an update.I started going to Koibito's when a friend recommended them for sushi, although I've eaten many of their other dishes by now. Large portions, very fresh, cheerful attitudes, and very attractive presentations were all the norm. I'm very glad I did until the last few years.I have experienced over the last 5 years or so, starting before the Covid-19 pandemic, how the quality of sushi, service, dishes, presentations, and consistency have changed during this time. While they do serve a good bento box or tempura or soup, I won't order sushi anymore! This is unfortunate because their sushi was always the main draw for me.I've read some of the recent reviews here and how pleased they were with their sushi and other food. Each a 5 star review. I haven't experienced a 5 star meal here in years! 3 star meals (satisfactory, ok, plain, meh, nothing to differentiate themselves from other sushi restaurants), sure, but not even 4 stars. It's expensive to eat out now, so it's important to have a place that you know is going to be consistent from visit to visit. I can't say that with Koibito Sushi. It's very annoying! Why does this happen?Customers come and go and I won't be back.

We ordered from here through Door Dash so don't have any details on the service or atmosphere but our food was amazing! We ordered the spider roll, alaska roll, Texas roll and a chefs special nigirie. It was all fresh tasting, beautiful presentation even as a take out order. It was a great treat to be able to do this from home and still have a restaurant worthy food experience. I would totally order from here again and look forward to checking out their location.

This one feels like an upgraded teriyaki eatery. Not to the level of a good Japanese restaurant.First of all, food wasn’t bad. The bento box was decent. The bibimbap was ok too. But the miso soup was a joke. We’ve never seen so plain miso soup. It was basically hot water with a bit miso. No tofu, no green onions. Well, to be fair, it was free. So you get what you pay for ?.We did not understand why they had chairs stacked on top of the counter. It feels like a part of the restaurant was out of business. We arrived around 5pm for early dinner. They were not busy. But the service definitely lacked the traditional Japanese spirit. It was not courteous. And they serviced us the bill far before we finished our meal. It didn’t make us feel good.

My new favorite sushi place in Olympia! I went with my family and no one was disappointed with any aspect of their food. My mom has celiacs disease, and our server kindly worked with her to find some food she could eat, which is more than can be said of a lot of other restaurants. The salmon was really good and soft on our volcano roll, and the tonkatsu I got was quite nice. Not too expensive for a sushi place either. The atmosphere was clean and inviting with some nice decor, though it didn't particularly wow me, not that that's really necessary. If you're looking for a good sit down place (or takeout- I saw a few people doing takeout), I'd recommend here. will be returning again for sure.
